A compressor assembly is provided. Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to compressors used in chiller air conditioning systems for indoor spaces. The disclosed compressors have magnetic bearings that support rotating components. In one embodiment, the compressor comprises a partially segmented thrust bearing stator core. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Vacuum pump, and magnetic bearing device and annular electromagnet used in vacuum pump

Bobbins of an annular electromagnet each have a bobbin body that has a coil wire wound around an outer periphery thereof and is attached to a respective tooth of an annular stator core by having the corresponding tooth inserted therethrough. A first flange portion in a rectangular hallow shape is provided on an end surface of the bobbin body near the center of the annular stator core and a second flange portion in a rectangular hallow shape is provided on the other end surface of the bobbin body. A coil winding amount increasing means is formed at least on the first flange portion or the second flange portion and increases the amount of winding of the coil wire wound around the bobbin body.

Bearing pad for tilting-pad bearing, tilting-pad bearing, and rotary machine

A bearing pad for a tilting-pad bearing includes a first member having a bearing surface and a second member disposed on a back surface side of the first member. At least one of a back surface of the first member or a front surface of the second member facing the back surface of the first member has a recess for forming a cavity between the first member and the second member. Preferably, the bearing pad further includes a support member disposed on a back surface side of the second member and tiltably supporting the first member and the second member, and the recess is formed over at least a part of an installation range of the support member in a plan view of the bearing pad.

Spring finger ring support assembly for a bearing

A support assembly for a bearing of a gas turbine engine including a spring finger ring positioned radially exterior to an outer race of the bearing. The spring finger ring includes an outer ring positioned radially exterior to the outer ring, an inner ring positioned radially interior to the outer ring, and a plurality of spring fingers extending between the inner and outer rings. One or more spring fingers configured as two-sided spring fingers including a first ligament coupled to the outer ring and extending at a first circumferential angle to a first radial bumper proximate to the inner ring and a second ligament coupled to the inner ring and extending at a different second circumferential angle to a second radial bumper proximate to the outer ring. The first and second radial bumpers define first and second radial gaps between the bumpers and the inner and outer rings, respectively.

HYBRID MAGNETIC RADIAL BEARING IN AN ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMP (ESP) ASSEMBLY

An electric submersible pump (ESP) assembly. The ESP assembly comprises an electric motor, a centrifugal pump, and a hybrid magnetic radial bearing, wherein the hybrid magnetic radial bearing is disposed inside the electric motor or disposed inside the centrifugal pump.

Sealing device for pillow blocks

A pillow block bearing seal for sealing the shaft opening around the shaft of a pillow block, having a stator assembly, a rotor, and a resilient cylinder sleeve. The stator assembly has a cylindrical base having an axial length that is configured to accept the shaft passing there through, and a stator extending annularly from an axial end of the cylindrical base. The rotor is configured to attach to and rotate with a rotatable shaft, and has an axially inward-facing surface that confronts the axially outward-facing surface of the stator to define labyrinth interface passage. The resilient cylindrical sleeve is fixed to an outer surface of the cylindrical base for contact with a pair of annular ribs of the bearing housing, for stabilizing the alignment of the center line of the shaft with the bearing housing.

METHOD OF REPAIRING A HYDROGENERATOR
20220190694 · 2022-06-16 ·

A method for repairing an electric generator having a rotor that rotates about a vertical axis, the rotor including a spider having a number of spider arms extending radially away from the axis, and a rim surrounding the spider. The weight of the rim is normally carried at least in part by rim support ledges of the spider arms. The method for repair includes supporting the rim from the top of the spider and thereby relieving some or all of the weight of the rim being supported by the rim support ledges

BEARING HOUSING
