AIR BEARING
The air bearing includes a main body part having a bearing surface opposed to a guide face, first and second flow path parts, which are provided in the main body part, for allowing compressed air supplied from outside to flow, an air supply hole, which is provided in the flow path part, for supplying compressed air to the guide face to form an air film between the bearing surface and the guide face, and a negative pressure generating part, which is provided in the second flow path part intersecting with the first flow path part, for generating a negative pressure for sucking air between the guide face and the main body part by increasing the flow velocity of the compressed air.
Magnetic or electrostatic pivoting of a mobile timepiece element
A timepiece sub-assembly including a mobile timepiece element including first and second annular and opposite peripheral surfaces of revolution about a same pivot axis, and a device for guiding pivoting about a theoretical axis of a timepiece mechanism. The first surface is magnetically or electrically charged, and the device includes at least three first surfaces regularly arranged around the theoretical axis, oppositely magnetically or respectively electrically charged to the first surface to repulse it at a first interface. In a watch, the second surface is magnetically or electrically charged, and the device includes at least three second surfaces regularly arranged around the theoretical axis, oppositely magnetically or electrically charged to the second surface to repulse it at a second interface.

Torque sensor unit
A torque sensor unit includes two magnetic angle sensors capable of detecting absolute rotation angles of a shaft member which indicate a twist angle of the shaft member when the shaft member is twisted. The shaft member has two end portions exposed to outside so that the shaft member can be connected at the two end portions to shaft-forming parts of a device.

LINEAR GUIDE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE
A linear guide includes an elongate guide body and a bearing cage, on the inner sides of which fluid pressure bearings are provided. The bearing cage moves along the guide body via the bearings. The bearing cage includes at least three interconnected plates. The plates each have an inner surface facing the guide body, an outer surface facing away from the guide body and side surfaces between the inner and the outer surface. Each plate is connected to a first other plate in a first end region and connected to a second other plate in an opposite second end region. For each of the plates: the first other plate, with its inner surface, abuts against a side surface of the considered plate, while the considered plate, with its inner surface, abuts against a side surface of the second other plate in the second end region of the considered plate.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INDUCING MULTIAXIAL EXCITATION
An apparatus and method for inducing multiaxial vibrations to simulate an environment for transporting a stack of products is provided. A lower platform is provided for inducing uniaxial vibrations. A link is connected to the lower platform by a lower end of the link. The upper end of the link has a universal joint, through which the link is connected to an upper platform. The upper platform has a top surface, on which the stack of products can be placed. In operations, the uniaxial vibrations of the lower platform are transferred to the upper platform through the link and the universal joint, to induce pivotal movement of the upper platform with respect to the shaft of the link. As a result, multiaxial vibrations can be induced to the stack of products placed on the top surface of the upper platform.

An air suspension support and motion guiding device having unequal-depth throttling chambers. Throttling plugs (10) are arranged regularly on an air suspension working surface, forming an array of throttling chambers with unequal depths. The invention improves the rotational stiffness per unit area for an air suspension working surface while ensuring support and stability of an air-suspended rail (1) and enables construction of a small-volume, long cantilever, high torque load two-dimensional motion reference device.
