An electronic device includes a display, a first housing, a second housing and a hinge assembly configured to connect the first housing and the second housing, and having a pair of hinge axes. The hinge assembly includes a hinge bracket including an intermediate protrusion formed to protrude in a direction of a middle axis perpendicular to the pair of hinge axes, a pair of hinge structures connected to the hinge bracket to be rotatable about the pair of hinge axes, and an intermediate member including a through-hole into which the intermediate protrusion is inserted, to be rotatable about the middle axis with respect to the hinge bracket. The intermediate protrusion also includes a protrusion base having a first radius, and a head including a projection which is formed on the protrusion base and which has a second radius greater than the first radius.

Ventilation unit

A ventilation unit with: a ventilation body that allows gas to circulate between the outside and inside of a housing; a support member that supports the body attached to an opening portion formed in the housing; and a sealing member between the support member and the outer surface around the housing opening portion and seals a gap between the support member and the housing, wherein the unit performs ventilation between the outside and inside of the housing through the body while attached to the opening portion of the housing. The support member includes: an attachment portion to which the sealing member is attached; and a wall portion around the attachment portion, wherein, in a state where the support member is attached between the support member and the housing, a distance between the support member and an external surface in the support member wall portion is 5.0 mm or more.

A bearing assembly for mounting a device, such as batteries or battery cases, includes a bearing and a receiving structure having a receiving opening that extends along a longitudinal axis. The bearing may have an elastomer body having a core that comprises a through-opening extending along the longitudinal axis for a connecting element. The bearing may further have a bearing element and an outer surface in the shape of a cylinder jacket extending about the longitudinal axis. In embodiments, the elastomer body bears against a contact surface of the bearing element, the receiving opening has an inner surface in the shape of a cylinder jacket, and the bearing is connected by an interference fit to the inner surface and the elastomer body having a conical area of effect. The invention provides, inter alia, a bearing assembly that can be premounted without a large degree of effort.

The third plate is disposed on the second plate. The shaft is connected to the first plate and the second plate. The first elastic element surrounds the shaft. The second elastic element is connected to the second plate and the third plate. The second plate is rotatable around the shaft via the first elastic element. The second plate is movable relative to the third plate via the second elastic element.

An example electronic device may comprise a first housing including a first surface and a second surface facing in a direction opposite the first surface, a second housing including a third surface and a fourth surface facing in a direction opposite the third surface, a hinge disposed between the first housing and the second housing configured to provide rotational motion between the first housing and the second housing, and a flexible display disposed from the first surface of the first housing across the hinge to the third surface of the second housing, at least part of the flexible display configured to form a curved surface as the hinge structure is folded, wherein the hinge may include dual-axis hinges configured to provide a first rotational axis allowing the first housing to rotate about the second housing and a second rotational axis allowing the second housing to rotate about the first housing and slides coupled with the first housing and the second housing and configured to provide sliding motion perpendicular to a lengthwise direction of the first housing and the second housing.

VENTILATION UNIT

A ventilation unit with: a ventilation body that allows gas to circulate between the outside and inside of a housing; a support member that supports the body attached to an opening portion formed in the housing; and a sealing member between the support member and the outer surface around the housing opening portion and seals a gap between the support member and the housing, wherein the unit performs ventilation between the outside and inside of the housing through the body while attached to the opening portion of the housing. The support member includes: an attachment portion to which the sealing member is attached; and a wall portion around the attachment portion, wherein, in a state where the support member is attached between the support member and the housing, a distance between the support member and an external surface in the support member wall portion is 5.0 mm or more.

Hinged device

The description relates to hinged devices, such as hinged computing devices. One example can include a hinge assembly that rotatably secures a first portion and a second portion. The hinge assembly can define a hinge shaft. The hinge assembly can include an adjustable closed-loop friction band secured to the first portion. The adjustable closed-loop friction band can extend between an aperture end and a removable end. The removable end can include a removable torque control element having a thickness that also at least in part controls a dimension of an aperture that receives the hinge shaft and thereby controls friction between the aperture and the hinge shaft.
