Torque-sensitive locking and release mechanism for a bistable pitch propeller

In response to a torque that is applied to a clutch module not exceeding a torque threshold, the clutch module is locked where a blade is configured to be at a first pitch angle in response to the clutch module being locked. In response to the torque that is applied to the clutch module exceeding the torque threshold, the clutch module is released where the blade has a range of motion which extends from the first pitch angle to a second pitch angle in response to the clutch module being released.

ACTUATOR MECHANISM, EXTERIOR MIRROR DEVICE AND VEHICLE

The invention relates to an actuator mechanism for adjusting at least one angular position of a mirror element in an exterior mirror device for a motor vehicle. The actuator mechanism comprises a base element and a mirror element movably coupled with the base element, which comprises a mirror support for supporting a mirror surface. The mirror element is rotatable relative to the base element about at least a first pivoting axis with the aid of a first electric motor provided in the actuator mechanism, which extends in a longitudinal direction that is substantially transverse to a supporting surface of the mirror support. What can be elegantly facilitated by this, for instance also in the case of a relatively small mirror surface that is only a few centimeters wide and/or is only a few centimeters long, is that, as seen from a direction in which during use the mirror surface is being viewed by a driver, such electric motor does not protrude, or hardly protrudes, next to, above and/or below the mirror surface.

Emergency hand crank drive consisting of a load shaft that is to be made to rotate, and a crank arm hingedly connected to said load shaft, and a coupling piece on said load shaft and a catch, which is fixedly connected to said crank arm and which has a shape that is complementary to the shape of said coupling piece and which can be releasably connected to said coupling piece, whereby a rotary sliding piece is mounted on said load shaft in such a way as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of said load shaft and be rotatable around the longitudinal direction thereof and said crank arm is hingedly secured to said rotary sliding piece.

PASSIVE FULLY LOCKING MECHANICAL INTER-AXLE DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
20220205521 · 2022-06-30 ·

A power divider unit including an input shaft, a drive gear disposed around the input shaft, an inter-axle differential assembly coupled to the input shaft, an output side gear coupled to the input shaft, and a locking system for the power divider unit. The locking system is configured to passively lock the inter-axle differential assembly. The locking system includes a ramped first clutch member in selective engagement with the drive gear, a mating second clutch member configured to engage the first clutch member, a clutch pinion, and a slip clutch assembly. The second clutch member and the first clutch member rotate at different speeds, the clutch pinion rotates and causes the slip clutch assembly and second clutch member to rotate at a speed of the input shaft, causing the first clutch member to mate with the first clutch member.

CONTROL OF A POWER TAILGATE SYSTEM RESPONSIVE TO CLUTCH SLIPPAGE

A method for controlling a power tailgate in a vehicle power tailgate system includes steps of controlling operation of a motor to attempt to lower or raise a tailgate operably connected to the motor, determining that a clutch interposed between the motor and the tailgate (and operably connected to the motor and the tailgate) slipped by at least a predetermined slip amount during operation of the motor to attempt to lower or raise the tailgate and, responsive to the determination that the clutch slipped by at least the predetermined slip amount, generating an alert indicating a need for manual reset of the tailgate.
