Torque-sensitive locking and release mechanism for a bistable pitch propeller
In response to a torque that is applied to a clutch module not exceeding a torque threshold, the clutch module is locked where a blade is configured to be at a first pitch angle in response to the clutch module being locked. In response to the torque that is applied to the clutch module exceeding the torque threshold, the clutch module is released where the blade has a range of motion which extends from the first pitch angle to a second pitch angle in response to the clutch module being released.

SELF-ADJUSTING CLUTCH
A self-adjusting clutch mechanism has a pressure plate, a wear compensation plate, a wear sensor adjusting plate, a wear sensor, a clutch cover, a first screw thread, and a second screw thread. The mechanism on the clutch pressure plate can keep clutch pedal load and clutch clamp load constant.

CAM CLUTCH
An object of the present invention is to provide a cam clutch capable of switching from one operating mode to another with a simple structure and with high responsiveness, and of securing an expected torque capacity. The cam clutch of the present invention includes an operating mode switch mechanism (140) for switching between a free state that allows relative rotation between an inner race (110) and an outer race (120) and a locked state that prohibits relative rotation between the inner race (110) and the outer race (120). The operating mode switch mechanism (140) includes a cam attitude change part (142) that is movable circumferentially, radially, or axially independently of the rotation of the inner race (110) and the outer race (120) to forcibly tilts a plurality of cams (131) circumferentially arranged between the inner race (110) and the outer race (120).

MULTI-POSITION CAMSHAFT PHASER WITH TWO ONE-WAY WEDGE CLUTCHES AND VISCOUS DAMPING
A camshaft phaser, including: a stator including radially inwardly extending protrusions with radially outermost ends; a rotor including radially outwardly extending protrusions radially outermost ends; chambers at least partially bounded by a inwardly extending protrusion and an outwardly extending protrusion; first seals disposed in the radially innermost ends and facing the rotor; second seals disposed in the radially outermost ends and facing the stator; first and second wedge plates radially disposed between the rotor and the stator; and a displacement assembly arranged to for an advance mode, displace the first wedge plate to enable rotation of the rotor, with respect to the stator, in the first circumferential direction and for a retard mode, displace the second wedge plate to enable rotation of the rotor, with respect to the stator, in a second circumferential direction opposite the first circumferential direction.
POWERED SCREWDRIVER INCLUDING CLUTCH SETTING SENSOR
A rotary power tool including a gear case, an output shaft extending from the gear case, and a drive mechanism configured to provide torque to the output shaft, causing the output shaft to rotate. The rotary power tool further includes a clutch mechanism between the output shaft and the drive mechanism. The clutch mechanism includes a compression spring and is configured to limit the amount of torque provided by the output shaft. The rotary power tool further includes a sensor positioned on a neck portion of the gear case subject to strain imparted by the compression spring, and an electronic control unit configured to receive an output signal from the strain gauge and determine a torque setting of the clutch mechanism based on the output signal.

Wedge friction clutch with onboard enable and disable function
A wedge friction clutch with onboard enable and disable function, including: an axis of rotation; an inner race; an outer race; a wedge plate located between the inner and outer races in a radial direction; a first resilient element; and a piston. For a locked mode, the first resilient element is arranged to displace the wedge plate in a first circumferential direction to non-rotatably connect the inner and outer races. For a free wheel mode the piston is arranged to displace in a first radial direction to displace the wedge plate in a second circumferential direction, opposite the first circumferential direction such that the inner and outer races are independently rotatable with respect to each other.
