Wave actuator
A two dimensional structure such as a disk or belt is shaped or distorted to form a buckling wave. At least one contact touches the wave, with two contacts squeezing the wave between them providing a firmer connection. The wave is propagated along the structure by any of a variety of means including magnets or piezo actuators. This movement of the wave moves the contacts relative to the two dimensional structure, providing a high leverage ratio.
MAGNETIC CLUTCH DEVICE
A magnetic clutch device having improved durability and reliability without increasing a size in an axial direction. A fixed member, the first engagement element, and a second engagement element are arranged concentrically to one another in order from a rotational center axis. The first engagement element comprises a first magnet. The fixed member comprises a second magnet in which a polarity is switched between a straight polarity and a reversed polarity, and a coil that switches the polarity of the second magnet depending on a direction of the current applied thereto.
ONE-WAY CLUTCH FOR A VEHICLE
A one-way clutch includes a first clutch member, a second clutch member disposed coaxially with the first clutch member for rotation relative to the first clutch member, and an electromagnetic actuator assembly. The assembly is supported on one of the clutch members and configured to engage the other of the clutch members. The assembly includes a core, a coil disposed therearound, and a magnetic armature having an aperture therethrough. The armature is pivotable toward a longitudinal end of the core by energization of the coil from a de-energized position to an energized position such that the end of the core resides in the aperture in at least one of the positions.
VEHICLE TRANSFER STRUCTURE
A vehicle transfer structure includes a main-drive-wheel output shaft that receives torque from a drive source and outputs it to main drive wheels, a part-time-drive-wheel output shaft provided parallel to the main-drive-wheel output shaft, a coupling provided on the main-drive-wheel output shaft and which partially extracts the torque to the part-time-drive-wheel output shaft via a transmission mechanism, and a damper disposed on the main-drive-wheel output shaft. The coupling is provided with an input-side coupling part coupled to an inner circumferential part of the damper. The input-side coupling part is coupled, via a spline-fitted section, to an output-side coupling part of a drive force transmission member which is coupled to an outer circumferential part of the damper and transmits a drive force to a driving-side transmission member of the transmission mechanism. The spline-fitted section allows a relative rotation between the input- and output-side coupling parts within a given angle.
Lining wear adjustment device for a disc brake
A lining wear adjustment device for a disc brake with a brake application device having a brake actuating lever, which can preferably be inserted into an adjustment spindle of the disc brake, includes an adjusting shaft with an external bearing, a rotary drive element and a clutch device for switchable coupling of the rotary drive element to the adjusting shaft. The clutch device is an electrically controllable solenoid clutch with at least one electromagnetic coil.

A rotation-blocking device including a stator, a rotor, at least one blocking element mounted between the stator and the rotor to be movable between a position of interaction with the rotor and the stator and a position retracted relative to the rotor, and actuator means including a coil wound on the stator and connected to a control unit to power the coil so as to create a magnetic field, the blocking element being made of a material sensitive to the magnetic field in such a manner that powering the coil causes the blocking element to move towards one of its positions. A rotation-blocking device including a stator, a rotor, at least one blocking element mounted between the stator and the rotor to be movable between a position of interaction with the rotor and the stator and a position retracted relative to the rotor, and actuator means including a coil wound on the stator and connected to a control unit to power the coil so as to create a magnetic field, the blocking element being made of a material sensitive to the magnetic field in such a manner that powering the coil causes the blocking element to move towards one of its positions. A rotary actuator including such a device.
Seal structure for electromagnetic lead wire
A seal structure for an electromagnet lead wire includes an annular yoke including an annular groove, a wiring hole configured to pass a lead wire of an exciting coil, an insulating resin configured to seal the exciting coil, and a seal member arranged in the hole. The wiring hole includes a though hole of a case, and a concave portion of the yoke. The insulating resin includes a projecting portion whose distal end face is located in the concave portion. The seal member includes a columnar portion inserted into the though hole, and a flange portion located in the concave portion. The flange portion is sandwiched and compressed between the device inner surface of the case and the distal end face of the insulating resin.

SWITCHABLE ONE-WAY CLUTCH
A switchable one-way clutch includes an outer race, an inner race, a plurality of rollers, and a drag plate. The outer race has a ramped inner surface. The rollers are contactable with the outer race and the inner race. The cage is for positioning the plurality of rollers. The drag plate is rotationally engaged with the cage and frictionally engageable with the inner race. In an example embodiment, the cage has a notch and the drag plate has a tab installed in the notch to engage the drag plate to the cage. In an example embodiment, the drag plate or the inner race includes a friction material ring bonded thereto for increasing a friction coefficient between the drag plate and the inner race. In an example embodiment, the clutch has an arc spring. The outer race includes a pocket, the cage includes a tab, and the arc spring contacts the pocket and the tab to displace the cage in a first rotational direction. In an example embodiment, the inner race includes an inner splined surface.
