RAIL VEHICLE DRIVE WITH A BRAKE DEVICE

A drive of a rail vehicle includes two drive wheels and a wheel set shaft which connects the drive wheels for rotation about an axis. A dynamoelectric machine includes a shaft extending axially parallel to the wheel set shaft and mounted for rotation about a further axis. A transmission connects the shaft of the dynamoelectric machine and the wheel set shaft by a non-positive fit. Placed between the dynamoelectric machine and the transmission is a coupling which is configured for direct attachment of a brake disk of a braking apparatus which is arranged between the transmission and the dynamoelectric machine.

Power Transmission Device

A power transmission device includes: an axle housing having a central hole where a drive shaft is penetrated; a wheel hub disposed in an outer portion of the axle housing via wheel bearings; a speed-reducer housing chamber provided in the wheel hub to cover an opening end portion of the axle housing; a gear speed reducer, formed inside the speed-reducer housing chamber, to decelerate a rotation of the drive shaft and transmit the rotation to the wheel hub; and a wet-type brake mechanism housed in a brake chamber formed between the axle housing and the wheel hub, and actuated such that braking is applied to a rotation of the wheel hub relative to the axle housing. Further, floating seals are disposed between a lubrication space and the speed-reducer housing chamber, and a circulation passage for oil that includes an oil filter is connected to the lubrication space.

Disc brake lining, assembled depending on the direction of rotation, for a fixed caliper disc brake

A disc brake lining is assembled depending on the rotation direction and includes a backing plate to carry a friction material, having diametrically opposed sides configured to be free from friction material. The backing plate is formed asymmetrically with respect to a central axis, and has a bearing on the inlet side relative to a preferred direction of rotation and provided radially inwardly in relation to a central wheel rotational axis, radially offset below a brake piston axis, as a holder with a hole for receiving a retaining pin, defining a fixedly positioned friction lining fixed bearing. A guide is on an allocated outlet-side bearing of the backing plate, radially outwardly in relation to the central wheel rotational axis, radially offset above a brake piston axis. The guide is an open-edged mouth opening with a receiving pocket receiving a guide pin, and defines a fixedly allocated friction lining floating bearing.

An apparatus for a vehicle is provided that includes and axle and an articulating brake component mounting plate carried by the axle. The articulating brake component mounting plate has an inner portion and an outer portion, and the position of the outer portion is adjustable with respect to the inner portion. Either the inner portion or the outer portion defines an adjustment nut aperture. An adjustment nut is located in the adjustment nut aperture.

Sequential parking brake assembly

An assembly includes a brake system comprising, a parking brake assembly including a first drive shaft and a second drive shaft. The assembly also includes two or more opposing brake pads, and a rotor extending between the two or more opposing brake pads. During use, the first drive shaft is moved so that a first portion of the brake pad is moved relative to the rotor, The second drive shaft is moved so that a second portion of the brake pad is moved relative to the rotor. One of the first portion of the brake pad or the second portion of the brake pad is moved relative to the rotor before the other of the first portion of the brake pad or the second portion of the brake pad is moved relative to the rotor.

Brake caliper for disc brake

A brake caliper for a disc brake has a caliper body straddling a brake disc. The caliper body has a thrust device housing accommodating a thrust device configured to apply a bias on at least one brake pad to abut the at least one brake pad against braking surfaces of the brake disc. The thrust device is operatively connected to a translating screw nut. The translating screw nut is operatively connected to a worm. The worm is operatively connected to a gearbox and rotatably supported by a screw thrust bearing configured to apply for the worm an axial reaction. At least one part of the gearbox is rotatably supported by at least one gearbox thrust bearing configured to apply for the at least one part of the gearbox a radial reaction. The screw thrust bearing and the gearbox thrust bearing are a same thrust bearing.

Brake-lining retainer, in particular for wheel brake disks of rail vehicles

A brake-lining retainer, in particular for wheel brake disks of rail vehicles, including a retaining part and a closure bar is provided. The brake-lining retainer has a lock which can be displaced in the direction of a longitudinal axis (L) of the lock. The closure bar is arranged on the retaining part in such a way that the closure bar can be pivoted about an axis between a closure position and an opening position, and in that the closure bar has a receptacle for the lock, wherein in the closure position of the closure bar, by displacement of the lock in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L), at least a segment of the lock can be arranged in the receptacle in such a way that the closure bar can be locked in the closure position.
