Motor with brake
A controller controls switching between a braked state in which a movable meshing part 7 comes close to and meshes with a motor meshing part 6 and a brake released state in which the movable meshing part 7 is separated from the motor meshing part 6.
Method for monitoring an electromagnetically actuable brake, and vehicle having an electromagnetically actuable brake
In a method for monitoring an electromagnetically actuable brake, which has an energizable coil that interacts with a tractive electromagnet situated so as to be linearly movable, and a vehicle having an electromagnetically actuable brake, the current flowing through the coil is acquired, the acquired current value in particular being conveyed to an evaluation unit, the voltage applied at the coil is intermittently increased, and a relative position of the tractive electromagnet with respect to the coil is determined from the thereby induced current characteristic, in particular the characteristic of the current rise, it is particularly determined from the ascertained position whether the brake is in the applied state or in the released state, the tractive electromagnet in particular is arranged as a permanent magnet or has a permanent magnet.
Hydraulic transaxle
A hydraulic transaxle facilitates mounting a parking brake unit which requires no link mechanism and is compact. The parking brake unit includes a brake rotor provided on a rotation shaft and a locking member being displaceable between a first position where the brake rotor is locked and a second position where the brake rotor is unlocked. The locking member includes a locking portion which is engaged in a recess formed in the brake rotor that locks the brake rotor in the first position, and a non-locking portion which is placed at a position corresponding to the recess and which separates from the brake rotor in the second position. The hydraulic transaxle further includes an oil-supply mechanism capable of displacing the locking member to the second position.
Brake assembly for fall arrest system
A brake plate of a fall arrest system is provided for protecting users during a fall. The brake plate comprises a body having a central opening. The central opening defines an inner circumference of the body. The brake plate comprises a plurality of ratchet gear teeth disposed along the inner circumference of the body. Further, the brake plate comprises at least two slots on the body, wherein the at least two slots are disposed diametrically opposite to each other. Each of the at least two slots is curved and extends along a portion of an outer circumference of the body.
BRAKING DEVICE
A brake device for braking rotation of an input shaft includes a selectively operable trigger brake that includes: a static element; a trigger brake shaft mounted for rotational and axial movement relative to the static element and the input shaft; a preloaded torsion spring rotationally coupled to the input shaft but permitting a limited rotational movement between the trigger brake shaft and the input shaft; a roller jamming mechanism operable upon the relative rotation between the trigger brake shaft and the input shaft exceeding a predetermined amount to stop rotation of the input shaft upon operation of the trigger brake; and a brake actuator for selectively moving the trigger brake shaft into and out of engagement with a contact surface of the static element. Engagement of the contact surface of the static element and the trigger brake shaft overcomes the preload of the torsion spring.
SYSTEMS FOR LINE DEVICE
Methods and systems are provided for a device. In one example, the device is configured to automatically grab and slip a line. The device is further configured to decrease degradation to the line by limiting a rotation of the device via contact with the line.
Trolley and mechanical braking system therefor
Provided are mechanical braking systems for wheeled trolleys, trolleys including a mechanical braking system and methods for controlling movement thereof.
Trolley and mechanical braking system therefor
Provided are mechanical braking systems for wheeled trolleys, trolleys including a mechanical braking system and methods for controlling movement thereof.
Electromagnetic brake device
An electromagnetic brake device presses a pressing plate against a brake rotor along an axis via a friction material by the electromagnetic force of an electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic brake device includes a support member that is disposed on the opposite side of the pressing plate to the brake rotor and that is supported by a housing so as to be displaceable along the axis and non-rotatable around the axis, and a shaft member that transmits a force in the direction along the axis between the pressing plate and the support member. An electromagnetic coil and an armature of the electromagnetic actuator are spaced apart from the pressing plate between the pressing plate and the support member, the electromagnetic coil is supported by the housing, and the armature is supported by the support member.
TOOTHED SAFE BRAKING APPARATUS FOR ROBOTIC JOINT, ROBOTIC JOINT, AND ROBOT
A toothed safe braking apparatus for use in robotic joint, comprising an electromagnetic telescoping apparatus (6) and a friction engagement component (10). The friction engagement component (10) is mounted on a shaft (C) of the robotic joint and comprises a brake lock ring gear (1) provided with a first center fitting hole (12), the brake lock ring gear (1) being provided with teeth (11) arranged on the outer circumferential surface thereof, a pretension ring (2) provided with a second center fitting hole (13), and a brake hub (4) provided with a first end surface (14), a second end surface (15), and an outer circumferential surface (16). On a locked position, a working bit (17) of the electromagnetic telescoping appamtus (6) can be engaged with the teeth (11) on the brake lock ring gear (1) of the friction engagement component (10); and, on an unlocked position, the working bit (17) of the electromagnetic telescoping apparatus (6) can be disengaged from the teeth (11) on the brake lock ring gear (1) of the friction engagement component (10). The brake lock ring gear (1) and the pretension ring (2) are arranged in parallel via the first fitting hole (12) and the second fitting hole (13) to be friction engaged on the outer circumferential surface (16) of the brake hub (4).
