DISC BRAKE
A disc brake according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a cylinder body and a bracket assembly. The bracket assembly is disposed in a space in the cylinder body. The cylinder body and the bracket assembly are fastened to each other by fastening members.
BRAKE DUST PARTICLE FILTER WITH WATER/SLUDGE DRAIN
A brake dust particle filter for an assembly with a brake disc is provided with a ring section-shaped housing that at least partially surrounds the brake disc in a mounted state. The housing has a housing interior. The housing is made of a metal material. The housing interior has a lowermost point and has at the lowermost point an axially embodied drainage cutout for drainage of a fluid out of the housing interior. The housing has an outwardly positioned, mostly axially expanding guide arranged at the drainage cutout for guiding the fluid. An assembly with a brake disc and a brake caliper arranged at the brake disc is provided with such a brake dust particle filter that is arranged at least partially in a bottom region of the brake disc.
BRAKE HOUSING
A housing for a brake system for attachment to an axle of a vehicle, the brake system comprising a braking mechanism having a rotor attached to a hub, and a caliper for receiving a portion of the outer circumference of the rotor permitting stopping rotation of the rotor, the housing comprising a body defining the space for containment of the braking mechanism, and a circular portion having an outer periphery configured to divert debris generated during operation of the vehicle from the outer periphery, wherein the outer periphery comprises a plurality of channels arranged in a spaced apart relationship with respect to each other, the channels extending transversally from one side of the housing to the other side of the housing to divert the debris away from the outer periphery.
Brake Dust Particle Filter, Disc Brake Assembly, Use of a Filter, and Method for Filtering Air Laden with Brake Dust
A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly with brake disc and brake caliper has a filter housing with opposed first and second side walls, a circumferential wall section extending at least partially circumferentially, and an end wall. The first and second side walls are connected to each other by the circumferential wall section and/or by the end wall. A filter housing interior extends from a side of the filter housing facing the brake caliper along the first and second side walls and the circumferential wall section to the end wall. An air-permeable filter wall arranged in the filter housing interior has a filter wall circumferential section that is radially spaced from the circumferential wall section and divides the filter housing interior into a raw air side and a clean air side. The clean air side extends between filter wall circumferential section and first circumferential wall section.
DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SENSOR ASSEMBLY ATTACHED TO A RETRACTION SPRING
A disc brake assembly that includes at least one brake pad retraction spring and a sensor assembly. The brake pad retraction spring extends between a pair of brake pad assemblies. The sensor assembly includes at least one sensor and a wire harness. The sensor is disposed on a brake pad assembly. The wire harness is attached to the brake pad retraction spring.
DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A disc brake assembly that includes a brake caliper, a retainer strap, and a sensor assembly. The retainer strap is mounted to the brake caliper and extends across a brake pad assembly. The sensor assembly is mounted to the retainer strap and generates a signal indicative of a position of the brake pad assembly.
BRAKE CALIPER WITH A COVER
The disclosure relates to a brake caliper for a disk brake, comprising a support structure having a bridge and at least one bridge finger. The at least one bridge finger has a brake lining side, an outer side, and a bore introduced into the outer side. The bore has a bore wall, a bore groove let into the bore wall. A cover having a pin projects into the bore and a pin groove extending into the pin circumferential surface, A sleeve is arranged between the bore wall and the pin circumferential surface and has a sleeve body
The sleeve has a spring arm which is bent outward in the radial direction away from the sleeve body and/or a spring arm which is bent inward in the radial direction away from the sleeve body. The outwardly bent spring arm engages into the bore groove and/or the inwardly bent spring arm engages into the pin groove.
BRAKE CALIPER HAVING A FACEPLATE
The present disclosure relates to a brake caliper for a disk brake comprising a supporting structure having a bridge and at least one bridge finger. The at least one bridge finger has a brake lining side, an outer side and a bore, that extends into the outer side. The bore has a bore axis and a bore wall. A profiling is recessed into the bore wall. A faceplate having a peg, projects into the bore and has a peg circumferential surface. A sleeve, which has a sleeve body is arranged between the bore wall and the peg circumferential surface. The sleeve has a spring arm, which is bent outwardly in the radial direction away from the sleeve body. The profiling is designed in such a way that the outwardly bent spring arm can latch into the profiling at various points of the profiling in the axial direction of the bore axis.
SHIM FOR DISK BRAKES, AND DISK BRAKE
A novel disc brake shim and a disc brake that can effectively suppress vibration and squeal are provided. The disc brake shim that is formed of a multilayer structure with three layers or more including at least a base material layer formed of a metal sheet, and a foamed rubber layer that is laminated on a main surface on one side of the base material layer, wherein the foamed rubber layer is an intermediate layer of the multilayer structure, and the disc brake including pad materials on both sides in an axial direction of a disc rotor, and shims on opposite sides from the disc rotor, of the pad materials adjacently, wherein each of the shims is the disc brake shim according to the present invention.
System and method for reducing oxidation of friction disks
A system, and associated method, for reducing oxidation of a friction disk may include a braking assembly comprising the friction disk and a conduit coupled to the braking assembly, with the conduit being in selectable fluid providing communication with the braking assembly. That is, the conduit may be configured to deliver inert fluid to the braking assembly, thus reducing the concentration of oxygen in the vicinity of the friction disks and thus reducing/mitigating oxidation of the friction disks.
