COUPLING MEMBERS THAT JOIN FIRST AND SECOND ROTARY MEMBERS
Coupling members to join two rotary members are described. The coupling members include a unitary body having a first coupling element, a second coupling element, and a hub, wherein the unitary body forms a single piece with the hub extending between and connecting the first coupling element to the second coupling element. The first coupling element defines a first plane, the second coupling element defines a second plane with the first and second planes being parallel, and the hub defines a hub axis normal to the first and second planes. Each of the first and second coupling elements comprise a plurality of connection elements arranged about a respective circumference having a respective radius extending from the hub axis, wherein a material of the respective coupling element in a respective circle and in a respective plane is less than the area of the circle.
Tooling mold for brake disc manufacturing and method for brake disc manufacturing
The present disclosure provides a tooling mold for brake disc manufacturing and a method for brake disc manufacturing. The tooling mold includes plugging segments, wherein a shape of each of the plugging segments is consistent with a shape of each of heat dissipation holes, and interference fit is achieved after plugging, an end portion of each of the plugging segments being fixedly connected with a chute through a connecting rod; and slider plates each of which adopts a curved structure with a uniform thickness, wherein each of the slider plates matches with each chute to realize position adjustment of the plugging segments.
BRAKE CALLIPER HOUSING FOR USE FOR AN ELECTROMECHANICALLY ACTUABLE BRAKE ACTUATOR
The present disclosure relates to a brake calliper housing for use for an electromechanically actuable brake actuator having a recess to accommodate a brake piston. The recess is delimited by a cylindrical recess wall, extending in an axial direction into the brake calliper housing, and by a recess bottom. The recess has a recess opening situated opposite the recess bottom. The brake calliper housing has a guide slot, let into the recess wall, to accommodate a guide element for securing the brake piston against rotation. The longitudinal extent of the guide slot runs parallel to the axial direction. The guide slot is of circular design in cross section.
BRAKE MODULE FOR A VEHICLE FLAP DRIVE SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE FLAP DRIVE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a brake module (100) for a vehicle flap drive system with at least one first friction partner (130) and at least one second friction partner (160, 170), wherein the friction partners (130, 160, 170) each have at least one friction surface (140, 150, 180, 190) which rub against one another during braking operation, wherein the first friction partner (130) is formed in one piece from a plastic with a carbon fiber content.
The invention further relates to a vehicle flap drive system comprising a brake module (100).
Air disc brake tappet and brake pad backing plate with differently sized interface features
Recess and protrusion features on a brake pad backing plate and an air disc brake tappet create a unique interface that keys the backing plate for use with the tappet. If the backing plate and/or tappet move during braking, the force applied by the protrusion of the tappet against the inner wall of the recess, or vice versa, can cause stress or damage to the backing plate, tappet, and/or other parts of the braking system. To accommodate such movement, the inner dimensions of the recess can be made greater than the outer dimensions of the protrusion. In one embodiment, the minimum dimensions of the recess are determined from a stack-up of tolerances of various components in the braking system. In another embodiment, maximum dimensions of the recess are determined to avoid overlapping step-down transitions in the backing plate and tappet during braking.
Flexible metallic couplings for drive shafts
A flexible coupling includes a first flange and a second flange, wherein in a relaxed state the first flange and the second flange are each aligned along a longitudinal axis. A plurality of first coupling members extends from the first flange. Each first coupling member includes a first and second driving beam meeting at a first node to form a topologically triangular truss. A plurality of second coupling members extend from the second flange. Each second coupling member includes a first and second driven beam extending from the second flange and meeting at a second node to form a topologically triangular truss. The first node of each of the first coupling members is connected to the second node of a respective one of the second coupling members.
MONOBLOCK DISC BRAKE CALIPER
A monoblock disc brake caliper is provided. The monoblock disc brake caliper includes an inner portion, an outer portion, and a crossover portion formed between the inner portion and the outer portion. The inner portion, the outer portion and the crossover portion are formed as a single, unitary body. The monoblock disc brake caliper further includes a transfer port aperture formed in the crossover portion located at a centerline of the monoblock disc brake caliper. The monoblock disc brake caliper further includes an inner transfer port extending from the transfer port aperture to an inner piston bore and an outer transfer port extending from the transfer port aperture to an outer piston bore. The monoblock disc brake caliper further includes a transfer port plug that is coupled to the transfer port aperture to seal the transfer ports with a single plug.
INTEGRATED PARKING BRAKE STRUCTURE
An apparatus including an upright and a parking brake mounted within an integral portion the upright. The parking brake includes one or more parking brake pads mounted to the integral portion of the upright and the one or more parking brake pads are configured to apply a braking force on a rotor of a vehicle. The one or more parking brake pads are mounted on studs and the studs receive forces from the application of the one or more parking brake pads to the rotor and transfer these forces to the upright. The upright is configured to be coupled to a wheel of the vehicle and also includes a second portion configured to integrate a main caliper configured to apply a braking force on the rotor of the vehicle.
