Friction transmission belt

In a friction transmission belt including a rubber layer forming a pulley contact surface, the rubber layer includes a rubber composition containing hydrophilic inorganic filler and a sliding-resistant material. The sliding-resistant material protrudes from the pulley contact surface, and is at least one of hydrophobic resin particles and hydrophobic resin fibers having an official regain of 0.4% or below, and in the rubber composition, a content of the hydrophilic inorganic filler with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component is 35 parts by mass or more.

TRANSFER BELT

A transfer belt wound between a primary pulley and a secondary pulley of a continuously variable transmission, the transfer belt including: a plurality of elements, each of which has a body that includes a saddle surface and a pair of pillars that extend toward a radially outer side of the transfer belt from both sides of the saddle surface in a width direction; and a bind ring that binds the plurality of elements annularly with an inner peripheral surface of the bind ring contacting the saddle surface of each of the plurality of elements.

A drive belt includes a hoop and multiple elements joined together in a loop by the hoop. Each element has an assembly space into which one end portion of the hoop is inserted during assembly. Each element is configured such that a first opening width, which is a distance between a first hook and a second hook, is less than a width of the hoop, and a second opening width, which is a distance between the second hook and a contact site where the one end portion of the hoop housed in the assembly space contacts a first pillar, is greater than the width of the hoop. The first hook and the second hook respectively include a first displacement-restriction surface and a second displacement-restriction surface each configured to restrict relative displacement between the element and the hoop by contacting a corresponding one of edges of the hoop.

Poly-V belt comprising a layer of thermoplastic material

Poly-V belts are disclosed that have a body in an elastomeric material, preferably EPDM, a plurality of durable filiform inserts longitudinally embedded in the body, and a coupling portion integrally connected to the body and comprising a plurality of V-shaped ribs in side by side arrangement alternating with V-shaped grooves. A layer of a thermoplastic material at least partially covers the ribs, and a knitted fabric is arranged over the thermoplastic material. Preferably, the thermoplastic material includes a polyolefin irradiated with a dose amount of radiation between 60 and 140 kGy.

V-ribbed belt and method for showing a wear state of a V-ribbed belt

For showing a wear state of a V-ribbed belt, which is constructed with a belt backing (1), a tension strand (2) arranged underneath the belt backing and a carcass (4), in which there are formed, in the longitudinal direction of the V-ribbed belt, V-ribs (7) which run parallel to one another, have in each case an interspace (8) with respect to one another and have inclined rib flanks (12), wherein the interspaces (8), formed for the engagement of pulley ribs (11) of a V-belt pulley (10), between two V-ribs (7) of the V-ribbed belt extend as far as a rib base (9) of the V-ribs (7), according to the invention a removal of material in the rib base (9) is detected as a criterion for the wear state.

Belt wear indication

In accordance with an example embodiment, a continuous belt may include an outer surface having a first edge spaced apart from a second edge defining a belt width, and a first wear indication positioned on the outer surface near the first edge and having a first width, the first width is less than the belt width, and the first width represents the amount of allowable wear of the continuous belt.
