Transmission system

A transmission system is disclosed, having a clutch module with an input and a first and a second output. Between the first output and the input, a first clutch device is present, and between the second output and the input a second clutch device is present. The transmission system further includes a transmission module having a first partial transmission and a second partial transmission, in which the two outputs of the clutch module are connected to the two inputs of the transmission module.

The invention relates to a lubricating device for controlling lubrication in a stepped transmission comprising a splitter section (10, 20) with an input shaft (I) and a main gear section (30, 40, 50, 60) with an output shaft (O) and a countershaft (C); where the splitter section (10, 20) comprises a first splitter gear set (10) connectable to the input shaft (I) by a first gear shift mechanism (23); and a second splitter gear set (20) connectable to the input shaft (I) by the first gear shift mechanism (23); and connectable to the output shaft (O) by a second gear shift mechanism (33). A lubrication arrangement for the second splitter gear set (20) is arranged to be controlled by the current positions of the first and the second gear shift mechanisms (23, 33); wherein the lubrication arrangement is controlled to at least reduce lubrication when the first and the second gear shift mechanisms (23, 33) are simultaneously connected to or disconnected from the second splitter gear set (20).

A transmission system configured to transfer power from a power source to a load is provided. The transmission system includes an input section coupled to the power source and a range section coupled to the load. The input section includes a plurality of input clutches configured to selectively transition between engaged and disengaged states to provide one or more input speeds. The range section includes a plurality of range clutches configured to be selectively transition between engaged and disengaged states to provide one or more speed ranges. When the range section is commanded to sequentially shift between two of the one or more speed ranges, the range section is configured to maintain at least two of the plurality of range clutches in the engaged state and transition a maximum of one of the plurality of range clutches from the disengaged state to the engaged state.
