Ratchet load binder with tension monitor system
12215756 · 2025-02-04 ·

A hand operated tool for binding a load. The tool including a hollow tube with interior left hand and right hand threads at opposing ends. Opposing rods with exterior threads on one end and a releasable connection device on the other end that is screwed into each end of the tube. A gear rigidly mounted and encircling the tube allowing a pivotly attached ratcheting U-pawl to engage the gear teeth, the U-pawl attached to and carried by a handle assembly mounted on each side of the gear, the handle protruding perpendicular from the tube. The handle turning the tube in a first rotational direction drawing the rods closer together tightening the bind, the handle turning the tube in a second rotational direction moving the rods farther apart loosening the bind, the rods remaining stationary in rotation during rotation of the tube. A blocking device may be installed to prevent the U-pawl from pivoting into a position to turn the tube in the second rotational direction, that would loosen the bind on the load, the blocking device allowing normal ratcheting and turning of the tube in the first rotational direction tightening the bind on the load. A recessed-pawl partially pivoting independently of the U-pawl and engaging with the gear to prevent the tube from turning in the second-rotational-direction that would loosen the bind on the load when the U-pawl is in a neutral position whereby the U-pawl is not engaged with the gear. In addition, a tension-detecting-device suitable to detect or measure the tension on the ratchet load binder rods and also monitor and communicate the tension to the operator is also provided.

QUICKLY RELEASED AND FASTENED ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
20170318972 · 2017-11-09 ·

A quickly released and fastened adjustment mechanism including a gasket, a first ratchet, a second ratchet, a T-shaped sleeve and a fastener is installed between a sliding member and a fixing member. The first and second ratchets are arranged with annular teeth respectively while the two annular teeth are engaged. The T-shaped sleeve is mounted in the first and second ratchets and against the gasket. The fastener is passed through the T-shaped sleeve, the gasket and the sliding member to be secured on the fixing member. Thus the two corresponding annular teeth are engaged firmly. The height difference between low-level and high-level engagement of the two annular teeth is H.sub.f. The sleeved height of the T-shaped sleeve is D.sub.1. The total height of the first and second ratchets in the low-level engagement is D.sub.2. D.sub.1>D.sub.2. D.sub.1D.sub.2=G>0 and H.sub.f>G>0.

Linear powered input device
09772015 · 2017-09-26 · ·

A linear powered input device that utilizes linear input from a user and converts the linear input rotational energy to perform work. The linear input is generated by lever arms having a slotted attachment at a pivot point that allows a free end of the lever arms to move linearly rather than in an arcuate path. The lever arms are connected to a power transmission mechanism that wraps around one or more drive wheels having one-way bearings mounted on one or more output shafts. The output shafts can be connected to any type of auxiliary device to perform the desired work. Output wheels may be mounted on the output shafts and operatively connected by a transmission link that allows linear motion of any lever arm in any allowable direction to cause the output shaft to rotate in the same rotational direction so as to receive continuous input.

Shift control method and system for hybrid vehicle

A shift control method and system for a hybrid vehicle are provided to increase the recovery rate of regenerative energy, improve the fuel efficiency, and minimize the loss of the fuel efficiency upon reaccelerating after braking. The method include: acquiring in real-time information regarding a transmission input speed during driving and sensing a brake pedal operation. In addition, whether a road driving situation or a driver tendency corresponds to a skip shift allowable condition is detected when the brake pedal operation is sensed. A target shift stage to which a skip shift of two or more stages is performed is selected from a current shift stage based on the transmission input speed in real-time, when the road driving situation or the driver tendency corresponds to the skip shift allowable condition. Then a transmission is operated to shift to the selected target shift stage.

Ratchet wrench and pawl mechanism

A pawl mechanism that reduces the possibility of pawl spring over-compression and damage. The invention can include bumpers disposed near the internal surfaces of the pawls and can space the internal surfaces when the pawls contact one another to reduce the amount of compression applied to the pawl spring. The pawl spring can be inserted into respective cavities on the pawls to further prevent additional compression of and damage to the pawl spring.
