Systems and methods for adjusting the rotational timing between driveshafts
A system for adjusting the rotational timing between driveshafts rotated by an output shaft. The system includes a flange coupler configured to be coupled to a first of the driveshafts to prevent rotation therebetween. The flange coupler defines openings therein. A coupler input gear defines openings therein and is configured to rotatably mesh with a second input gear coupled to a second of the driveshafts. Fasteners are configured to the extend through the openings in the flange coupler and the openings in the coupler input gear to rotationally fix the flange coupler and the coupler input gear, which are fixable at multiple rotational orientations therebetween. The rotational timing between the driveshafts is adjustable by rotating the coupler input gear into different orientations of the multiple rotational orientations relative to the flange coupler prior to fixing the flange coupler to the coupler input gear.
Machine having a cantilever-mounted rotor
Machine having a rotor which is mounted in a cantilevered fashion on a bearing and has a rotational axis along which a free, subsequently non-mounted rotor end runs starting from the bearing, the rotor end having a rotor end side which is spaced apart from a fixed rotor opposing side by a gap, and which, during operation of the machine when the rotor is rotating, is deflected with respect to the rotational axis as a result of imbalance of the free, non-mounted rotor end, or as a result of externally applied forces, wherein the rotor end side is curved or beveled so as to drop away at least in its end region towards its edge and in a direction towards the bearing.

Low force epicyclic gear apparatus hold and release mechanism
A gear apparatus for controlling movement of an output by an input coupled to a power source. The apparatus an input member coupled to the input, an output member coupled to the output and the input member so that movement of the input member causes movement of the output, a selectably releasable member coupled to the input member and the output member, wherein the selectably releasable member remains in a fixed position while the input member and the output member move, and a releasable member brake mechanism coupled to the selectably releasable member, wherein the releasable member brake mechanism is arranged to prevent movement of the selectably releasable member when the input member and the output member move and to allow back driving of the selectably releasable member.

Steering gear
A steering gear includes a gear wheel, a screw pinion meshing therewith, and a screw pinion shaft that includes the screw pinion. The screw pinion shaft is mounted on one side of the screw pinion in a fixed bearing. The steering gear includes a rotary bearing which comprises an inner bearing shell and an outer bearing shell. The outer bearing shell is connected to an inner ring of a swivel ring. The inner ring is connected to an outer ring of the swivel ring by a torsion web so as to pivot about a pivot axis. The torsion web runs at a distance from a supporting surface. The distance is dimensioned such that the torsion web does not contact the supporting surface when the screw pinion shaft is not loaded with a torque, and partially contacts the same when the screw pinion shaft is loaded with an operating torque.
Rotation locking device
A rotation locking device 4 has a locking gear 5; a reverse input blocking clutch having an input member 12 and an output member 13; and an engaging member 8, and switches between a first mode where an engaging claw portion 14 engages with an engaging concave portion 9 by the output member 13 rotating the engaging member 8 due to the input member 12 being rotationally driven, and rotation of the locking gear 5 is restricted, and a second mode where engagement between the engaging claw portion 14 and the engaging concave portion 9 is released and rotation of the locking gear 5 is allowed.

Driving apparatus and lighting apparatus
A driving apparatus according to an embodiment includes an arm, an operation target, and a brake unit. The arm has one end supported by a support mechanism, and includes an electric driving source. The operation target is attached to the other end of the arm, the other end being an end on the opposite side of the one end, and is enabled to be pivoted by the driving source about one rotational axis intersecting with a direction from the one end to the other end. The brake unit secures immobility of a target gear that is a gear disposed in the arm, and that is a gear being rotated as the operation target is pivoted, when the power supply to the driving source stops.
