Belt pulley arrangment

A belt pulley arrangement with a belt pulley that is fastenable to rotate on a shaft, a torsion spring arranged within the belt pulley for enabling a transmission of torque between the belt pulley and shaft. The torsion spring acts with one end against the shaft and with an other end against the belt pulley. A looped flat spiral spring is arranged radially between the belt pulley and the torsion spring and acting as a free-running clutch. The torsion spring is arranged on one of its axial ends in a first sleeve that is connected so that it can rotate with a radial inner lateral surface of the belt pulley. The looped flat spiral spring is arranged radially between the first sleeve and the torsion spring, and contacts, in its extended state, at least in some sections on the inner lateral surfaces of the first sleeve and belt pulley.

Smart gearing system for bicycle

A bicycle gearing system includes input and output shafts, two planetary gear systems, and a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism includes three clutch presser plates for frictional engagement with two clutch disks and a clutch base. A motor rotates a camshaft formed with cams selectively engageable with cam followers for driving the clutch presser plates to rotate. Steels balls are provided within cavities formed between the clutch presser plates and a clutch housing to convert rotation of clutch presser plates to linear force for frictional engagement with the two clutch disks and the clutch base. Different angles of rotation of the camshaft produce different clutch and gear combinations and different gear ratios.

Vehicle continuously variable transmission equipped with seal mechanism

A vehicle continuously transmission mechanism includes a seal mechanism to seal a hydraulic chamber defined by fixed and movable members on a back surface side of a movable sheave of a pulley or seal an oil passage communicating with the hydraulic chamber. This seal mechanism has an annular seal member normally brought into intimate contact with an opposing surface of the sliding contact part and a lip seal member formed with an annular lip such that a tip end of the annular lip is directed toward the outside and a side surface of the annular lip located closer to the hydraulic chamber or oil passage is brought into elastic contact with the opposing surface of the sliding contact part.

Transmission fluid pressure control systems and methods for continuously variable transmissions

A switching valve control module selectively actuates a switching valve of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) either: (i) from a closed position to an open position; or (ii) from the open position to the closed position. The switching valve prevents and allows transmission fluid flow through a flow path between a transmission fluid pump and a pressure regulator valve of the CVT when the switching valve is in the closed position and the open position, respectively. An adjustment determination module determines a pressure adjustment when the switching valve actuates. A target pressure module determines a target pressure output from the pressure regulator valve. An adjusting module determines an adjusted target pressure based on the pressure adjustment and the target pressure. A regulator valve control module controls opening of the pressure regulator valve based on the adjusted target pressure.

Gear shift operation mechanism

A gear shift operation mechanism capable of achieving reduction in size and weight, reduction in power consumption, simplification and reduction in number of component parts, and cost reduction is provided. A screw shaft that configures a ball screw, a motor that rotates the screw shaft, a nut that is screwed onto the screw shaft, a clutch that is disposed on the screw shaft, and a select lever that is integrated with the screw shaft by switching on the clutch, and has restraint cancelled with respect to the screw shaft by switching off the clutch are included, one end of a main lever is engaged with the nut, the other end is engaged or connected with a shaft, and the select lever is engaged with the main lever.

A vehicle includes an ignition, selector, and controller. The ignition is configured to start and shutdown the vehicle. The selector is configured to transition the vehicle between a standard driving mode and an economy driving mode. The controller is programmed to, in response starting the vehicle after a prior shutdown with the economy mode selected, generate a notification that the vehicle was operating in the economy mode upon the prior shutdown.

Control device for continuously variable transmission

A CVTECU includes a secondary-pressure control section and a line-pressure control section that performs a same-pressure control to equalize a line pressure and a secondary pressure with each other if a predetermined start condition is satisfied. The line-pressure control section realizes a same-pressure state between the line pressure and the secondary pressure by lowering the line pressure below a target secondary pressure, and then controls the line pressure such that an actual secondary pressure is brought to the target secondary pressure by hydraulic feedback control while maintaining the same-pressure state. The secondary-pressure control section includes a restriction section that restricts an accumulation of integral term of an integral action for a duration between a time point at which the actual secondary pressure starts to be pushed down and a time point at which the same-pressure state between the line pressure and the secondary pressure is realized.

Hydraulic control device and method for controlling the same

A hydraulic control device controls hydraulic pressure supplied to a continuously variable transmission. The hydraulic control device includes a pressure regulating valve, a solenoid valve configured to control the pilot pressure, line pressure control means, and hydraulic control means. The pressure regulating valve includes an input port to which line pressure is input, an output port configured to supply an oil chamber of a second pulley with a second pulley pressure, a drain port configured to discharge the second pulley pressure from the oil chamber, and a spool moving according to pilot pressure to regulate the second pulley pressure. The line pressure control means is configured to control the line pressure on the basis of the second pulley pressure and first pulley pressure of first pulley. The hydraulic control means is configured to temporarily change the pilot pressure from set pressure to configure the line pressure identical to the second pulley pressure.

Shift device

In a shift lever device, at a time when a shift lever is pivotally operated in a front-rear direction, a retainer and a link are pivoted integrally with the shift lever, and a pivot portion is pivoted in the front-rear direction. Further, at a time when the shift lever is pivotally operated in a left-right direction, the shift lever is pivoted with respect to the retainer, and the link is pivoted, and the pivot portion is thereby pivoted in the left-right direction. Moreover, a position of the pivot portion is detected by a detecting mechanism, and a shift position of the shift lever is detected. Therefore, the shift position of the shift lever can be detected via the link.
