Alternator damper pulley for vehicle
09556948 · 2017-01-31 · ·

An alternator damper pulley for a vehicle includes a pulley body connected to an engine to receive a rotational power from an engine. A shaft connection portion is provided within the pulley body such that a rotational shaft of an alternator is insertedly coupled therein. A torsion spring is installed on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft connection portion to reduce a variation of the rotational power transmitted from the pulley body. A clutch is interposed between the torsion spring and the pulley body to connect or disconnect the shaft connection portion and the pulley body. A friction damper is installed to apply frictional damping force to the shaft connection portion.

Gearbox for a motor vehicle

Described herein is a gearbox for a motor vehicle including a plurality of forward gear ratios and a reverse gear ratio, the gearbox further including: a control device (configured for controlling the selection and the engagement of said forward gear ratios and of said reverse gear ratio; and a plurality of engagement devices that can be controlled by means of said control device for engaging the forward gear ratios or reverse gear ratio (RM) of the gearbox that are operatively associated to said devices. The gearbox includes a locking device, which is electrically controlled and configured for preventing actuation of the engagement device associated to a predetermined forward gear ratio, said locking device being configured for being actuated above a threshold speed of the motor vehicle on which said gearbox is installed.

Crankshaft isolating pulley

An isolating pulley comprising a hub comprising an inertia carrier, the inertia carrier having an inner surface, a spring carrier journalled to the hub, the spring carrier having a releasable driving engagement with the inertia carrier, a pulley journalled to the hub, a spring drivingly engaged between the spring carrier and the pulley, a clutch spring having a frictional engagement with the inner surface, and which frictional engagement is partially releasable upon a temporary, pressing contact of the pulley upon the clutch spring.

Switch device, push-type input device, and electronic shifter

A switch device includes three or more sensors configured to detect three or more respective measurement values with respect to an operation position of a switch; a memory; and a processor configured to determine a switching state of the switch by making a majority decision based on measurement levels of the three or more measurement values of the three or more sensors, and determine whether a failure has occurred for each of the three or more sensors. The processor compares a measurement value of one sensor among the three or more sensors with measurement values of other sensors other than the one sensor among the three or more sensors, and determines that the one sensor has failed in a case where half or more of the measurement values of the other sensors are not in a predetermined range of the measurement value of the one sensor.

System and method for clutch heating control
12612967 · 2026-04-28 · ·

A method and system for estimating a temperature of a clutch and a maximum temperature of a clutch are described. In one example, the maximum temperature of the clutch is based on phases of a transmission gear shift. The transmission gear shift may include a power-on downshift and a power-on upshift.
