The invention discloses a gear shift arrangement, which includes a sprocket cassette being adapted to be slidably mounted on a hub which is adapted to move on a horizontal axis of a spindle, the sprocket cassette further being adapted to operatively engage with a chain so that, in operation, the chain remains in one vertical plane; and movement means adapted to move the sprocket cassette along the hub transversely relative to the chain.

Multi-directional operating device and vehicle shift apparatus using the multi-directional operating device

A multi-directional operating device includes an operating member, a support body, movable members, a pair of movable magnetic members, a facing magnetic member, stopper portions, a drive member, and a cam member. One of the drive member and the cam member has a guide surface having a first projection, and another of the drive member and the cam member has a sliding surface having a second projection. When the operating member is inclined in a first direction, one of the movable magnetic members is inclined, and inclination of another movable magnetic member is stopped by one of the stopper portions. When the operating member is inclined in a second direction, the first projection and the second projection are moved beyond projecting portions of each other and slide on each other. This multi-directional operating device is preferably applied to a vehicle shift apparatus.

A variable-speed belt drive includes at least: two substantially parallel shafts; two variably interspaced flange pulleys, one driving, the other driven, each carried by a shaft and interconnected by the belt, the flanges of the driving pulley being movably mounted in a variably interspaced manner via a speed variation device including control elements for bringing the flanges of the driving pulley closer together, and control assisting elements including a cam formed by two coaxial plates having sliding-contact inclined ramps, one plate being rotatably fixed to the movable flange of the driving pulley, the other being rotatably fixed to the shaft carrying the driving pulley, the distance between the plates becoming wider in the direction of the flanges of the driving pulley coming together under the effect of the transmitted torque; and elements formed by a simple spring for recalling the flanges of the driven pulley in the close position.

Continuously variable transmission drive pulley

A drive pulley for a CVT has a fixed sheave, a fixed sheave shaft fixedly connected to the fixed sheave, a movable sheave, a movable sheave shaft fixedly connected to the movable sheave, a spider and at least one centrifugal actuator. The fixed sheave shaft is disposed at least in part inside the movable sheave shaft. The movable sheave is disposed axially between the spider and the fixed sheave. A biasing member biases the movable sheave axially away from the fixed sheave. A torque transfer assembly is operatively connected to at least one of the fixed sheave and the movable sheave. The torque transfer assembly transfers torque between the fixed sheave and the movable sheave. The biasing member, the at least one centrifugal actuator and the torque transfer assembly are disposed radially outward of the fixed and movable sheave shafts.

Uncoupling pulley with offset clutch

Uncoupling pulley having a longitudinal axis, and including a wheel rim having a first zone, to receive a belt connecting the wheel rim to a first power transmission element, and second zone situated in the axial extension along the direction defined by the longitudinal axis of the pulley, of the first zone; a hub to be secured to a second power transmission element; one of the power transmission elements being driving, and the other being driven; a ring mounted below the second zone of the wheel rim and around the hub, so the ring can rotate, around the longitudinal axis, relative to the wheel rim and/or the hub; an elastically deformable element mounted between the hub and the ring; and a unidirectional clutch having an end fastened to the ring and the remaining part of which is mounted below the second zone of the wheel rim and above the ring.

Drive clutch
10054211 · 2018-08-21 ·

A drive clutch having a compressible torque transfer mechanism configured to transfer torque from an engine or motor to a moveable sheave and configured to reduce wear on components of the drive clutch by eliminating sliding contact between surfaces to transfer torque and change the gear ratio. The torque transfer mechanism increases efficiency and reduces wear and may comprise a torque bellows, which is configured to transfer torque from the engine to the moveable sheave upon radial compression of the torque bellows. Sliding blocks and corresponding slide tracks are concentrically positioned between the moveable sheave and the shift plate and centrifugal force provides a force for linear movement for the sliding blocks, which results in movement of the moveable sheave and the cover, which can act to compress the torque bellows. This configuration reduces costs because precise machining is not needed and reduces premature wear and tear on the drive clutch.
