A piston may be movable in the canister between a first position and a second position in response to a pressure change in the control chamber. The piston may have a body and a skirt may extend from the body. The skirt may taper inward relative to the body as the skirt extends away from the body.

Sealing system having leakage sensing function
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a sealing system having a leakage sensing function. A leakage sensing unit is arranged in a sealed space which is formed between sealing members of a sealing device body so as to sense, in real time, whether the sealing members are leaking, wherein a sensing value of the leakage sensing unit can be transmitted to the outside by using a communication unit.
VENTED DRIVELINE JOINT
In at least one implementation, a joint for coupling two shafts in a vehicle driveline includes a joint part having a bore defining part of a fluid chamber, a boot member coupled to the joint part and defining at least part of the fluid chamber and having a valve portion that has an open state and a closed state, and an insert. The insert may be received adjacent to the boot member and defines at least part of a vent path that communicates the fluid chamber with the valve portion. When the valve portion is in the closed state venting from the vent chamber is inhibited or prevented and when the valve portion is in the open state the vent chamber is communicated with a venting space.
Diaphragm pump
In a diaphragm pump having a fluorine resin-made rolling diaphragm including: an inner circumferential portion that elongates along an outer circumferential surface of a piston; an outer circumferential portion that elongates along the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder; and a folded portion that is formed by folding back in a tubular space between the cylinder and the piston; and a pump chamber is separated by the rolling diaphragm in the cylinder, the rolling diaphragm is produced in an extended attitude corresponding to an attitude obtained when, by a projective movement of the piston, the outer circumferential portion is eliminated, and the folding of the folded portion is opened.
Gasket
Gaskets for sealing two mating surfaces are described. The gaskets have an outer portion including a core between two sealing layers and an inner portion made of a deformable material and located in an aperature in the outer portion. The thickness of the inner portion is greater than the thickness of the outer portion. The inner portion may include a chemical treatment agent that can provide chemical protection to the mating surfaces. Methods of producing the gaskets and methods of using the gaskets for sealing joints, including corroded joints, are also described.
