LENGTH-ADJUSTABLE CONNECTING ROD, DEVICE FOR SETTING A COMPRESSION RATIO AND INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present invention relates to a length-adjustable connecting rod, to a device for setting a compression ratio and to an internal combustion engine. A length-adjustable connecting rod with a small connecting-rod eye and a large connecting-rod eye preferably has a switching device. The switching device is preferably designed to control the length of the connecting rod, in particular hydraulically. In addition, the connecting rod preferably has an adjustment device which is actuable, in particular mechanically, from outside the connecting rod, has a rotatably mounted adjustment unit and is designed to mechanically switch, in particular to actuate, the switching device by rotation of the adjustment unit.
Piston rod and free piston engine
An internal combustion engine may include an engine block, a cylinder defining at least one combustion chamber, and a piston in the cylinder. The piston may travel in a first stroke from one end to an opposite end of the cylinder, and may be sized relative to the cylinder to enable an expansion stroke portion of the first stroke while the piston travels under gas expansion pressure, and a momentum stroke portion of the first stroke for the remainder of the first stroke following the expansion stroke portion. A passageway may be formed in the piston rod to communicate gas flow between a first combustion chamber and an area external to the cylinder when the piston is in a first position, and to communicate gas flow between a second combustion chamber and an area external to the cylinder when the piston is in a second position.

COOLING DEVICE INTENDED TO EQUIP AN INFRARED VISION DEVICE WITH A DEFORMABLE ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a cooling device (8) comprising: a housing (22); a crank (28) rotationally movable relative to the housing (22); a piston (16); a coupling component (34) rotationally mounted on the crank (28), the coupling component (34) having a first edge (54) facing the piston (16) and a second edge (56) opposite the first edge (54); a deformable element (64) integrated in the coupling component (34) and integrated in the piston (16), the deformable element (64) being configured to translationally move the piston (16) relative to the housing while deforming, when the crank (28) is rotated relative to the housing (22), the deformable element (64) being integrated in the second edge (56) of the coupling component (34).
HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT WITH PISTON PUMP
An electro-hydraulic control unit for a vehicle brake system includes a hydraulic control unit including an HCU block defining a motor bore containing an electric motor and an eccentric chamber containing a rotating eccentric driven by the electric motor. The HCU block also defines a pump bore containing a piston pump including a piston rod having a generally cylindrical shape with a smooth exterior surface extending substantially its entire length. An end cap is press fit around an end of the piston rod and includes a flange portion extending annularly outwardly for engaging a return spring. A piston guide includes a tubular portion guiding the piston rod and a shoulder for engaging the return spring. A throat of the piston guide holds a gland seal surrounding the piston rod. An outlet valve housing includes a tubular protrusion extending into the throat of the piston guide to hold the gland seal.
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
A hydraulic cylinder (10) comprises a cylinder tube (12) having a circular slide hole (13), a piston unit (18), and a piston rod (20). The piston unit (18) has a circular piston body (40), packing (42) that is installed on the outer circumferential portion of the piston body (40), a movable member (44) that is mounted to the outer circumferential portion of the piston body (40) so as to be able to rotate relative to the piston body (40), and a magnet (46) that is held by a magnet holding unit (58) of the movable member (44). Relative rotation of the movable member (44) with respect to the cylinder tube (12) is regulated.

PISTON ROD ASSEMBLY FOR A FLUID PAINT PUMP
A wear sleeve is removably mounted on a piston rod. The piston rod includes a piston cap, a piston rod body, and a piston head, with at least one of the piston cap and the piston head being removable from the piston rod body. The wear sleeve is disposed over the piston rod body and prevents the piston rod from contacting dynamic seals disposed within a pump. The wear sleeve is mechanically secured in a cylindrical recess on the piston rod between a cap shoulder of the piston cap and a head shoulder of the piston head.
