The upper bowl-shaped seal portion is configured to form sealing between the piston push rod and the cylinder when the piston push rod moves toward the end cap and to remove crystals on an inner wall of the cylinder. The columnar seal portion is configured to enable the piston push rod to be coaxial with the cylinder, and to provide a mechanical support for the piston push rod. The lower bowl-shaped seal portion is configured to provide sealing between the piston push rod and the cylinder and remove the crystals on the inner wall of the cylinder when the piston push rod moves toward the end cap.

VEHICLE-MOUNTED DEVICE

A vehicle-mounted device includes a housing that accommodates electronic equipment therein, an openable and closable cover covering an opening of the housing, a sealing member fixed to the housing or the cover, and a pressure sensor fixed to at least one of the cover, the housing, or the sealing member at a position such that the pressure sensor is in contact with the sealing member while the cover is closed. The pressure sensor measures a pressing force received at the sealing member sandwiched between the housing and the cover. The vehicle-mounted device further includes a degradation determination device to determine whether any degradation occurs in the sealing member on the basis of the pressing force measured at the pressure sensor while the cover is closed.

SEAL STATE DETECTING DEVICE AND SEAL STATE DETECTING METHOD
20220276117 · 2022-09-01 ·

This seal state detection device includes a plurality of part case members including a cylinder facing part and a rod facing part and are aligned in a circumferential direction of a cylinder by causing the cylinder facing part to face the cylinder and the rod facing part to face a rod so that a housing chamber for housing a part of the cylinder and a part of the rod is formed between the cylinder facing part and the rod facing part. The cylinder facing part includes a seal part which contacts with the cylinder. The seal part includes a protruding part formed at one end and a recessed part formed at the other end in the circumferential direction of the cylinder. The protruding part and the recessed part are fitted to each other when the plurality of part case members are aligned in the circumferential direction of the cylinder.

Fluid level gauge or reservoir with built-in light source

An improved fluid level verification apparatus with an integral, internal source of illumination that is powered by an integral, internal energy source and is activated by a motion sensor or any other sensor commonly known in the art to detect the presence of a person in dark or dimly lit environments. The preferred light source is a light emitting diode (LED). A second embodiment of the integral, internal source of illumination that is powered by an integral, internal energy source and is activated by a motion sensor or any other sensor commonly known in the art to detect the presence of a person in dark or dimly lit environments is applied to a fluid reservoir tank.

Vertical pump structure

A vertical pump structure is adapted to be mounted on a water cooling tank. The vertical pump structure comprises a pump casing, an upper shaft seal, a shaft and a lower shaft seal assembly. An upper annular flange and a lower annular flange are formed on an inner surface of the pump casing. A drain space is formed between the two annular flanges. A drain hole communicates with the draining space and an internal space of the water cooling tank. The shaft is inserted through the two annular flanges. Two gaps, which are formed between the shaft and the two annular flanges, are respectively sealed by the upper shaft seal and the lower shaft seal assembly. Therefore, even if the lower shaft seal assembly fails, the upper shaft seal can still prevent leaking fluid from polluting the work place.

Hydraulic fluid pump and stuffing box assembly for same

A stuffing box assembly for a fluid end of a hydraulic fluid pump includes a stuffing box unit having a plunger bore configured to receive a plunger of the hydraulic fluid pump and a plurality of seals. The plunger bore extends from a first axial end of the stuffing box unit to a second axial end of the stuffing box unit. The plunger bore includes a first portion configured to receive the plurality of seals and a second portion extending between the first portion and the second axial end. The stuffing box assembly further includes a sensor coupled to the stuffing box unit and configured to determine a fluid pressure within the second portion of the stuffing box unit.

Bladed assembly for a stator of a turbine of a turbomachine comprising inclined sealing ribs
11274565 · 2022-03-15 · ·

A bladed assembly for a turbine of a turbomachine comprises an outer platform comprising, at an axial end, a transverse end surface and a sealing device protruding from the transverse end surface and comprising at least two sealing ribs (102) extending transversely to an axis of the bladed assembly and each having two respective sides which, in an axial cross-section, are radially and axially inclined in the same direction with respect to the axis. The radial direction of the inclination of the sides of the sealing ribs, in an axial cross-section, is the same for at least two of the sealing ribs. This particularity confers flexibility on each of the sealing ribs, which allows to favour a surface contact between the sealing ribs and a radial stator wall facing which the transverse end surface, and in particular the sealing device, are intended to be arranged.

Sealing structure

A sealing structure includes: a first member having a first surface extending along a gravity direction in which gravity acts; a second member having a second surface facing the first surface and extending along the gravity direction; a hydrostatic bearing that is arranged on the first surface of the first member and is configured to supply a compressed liquid between the first surface and the second surface; and a seal portion having a clearance that is formed between the first surface and the second surface and is provided below the hydrostatic bearing in the gravity direction. A liquid is retained in the clearance by surface tension.

Packing module and stuffing box assembly

A stuffing box assembly for a valve includes a stuffing box and a packing module. The packing module carries one or more seals to engage with the stuffing box and a valve stem extending through the stuffing box. The packing module is able to be installed into, and removed from, the stuffing box as a single assembly. A valve stem can be formed with an integral ball on one end for engaging with a valve seat. The seals of the packing module create a fluid-tight seal against the valve stem and the stuffing box to inhibit fluid leakage through the stuffing box.
