Shelf support beams and shelving units utilizing same
A shelf support beam (80, 130, 200) for use in a shelving unit (10) to support a shelf (22). A structural member (82, 132, 202) has a C-shaped cross-section. A web (94, 144, 216) separates a top flange (96, 146, 220) from a bottom flange (112, 162, 234). The top flange (96, 146, 220) is configured to support the shelf (22). The web (94, 144, 216), the top flange (96, 146, 220), and the bottom flange (112, 162, 234) define a channel (92, 142, 214) of the member (82, 132, 202). The channel (92, 142, 214) defines a cavity height (C1, D1, E1). The top flange (96, 146, 220) and the bottom flange (112, 162, 234) define a top flange width (C2, D2, E2) and a bottom flange width (C3, D3, E3), respectively. A ratio of the cavity height (C1, D1, E1) to a sum of the top flange width (C2, D2, E2) and the bottom flange width (C3, D3, E3) is greater than 1, is at least 1.20, or is about 1.40. The C-shaped cross-section has a moment of inertia (98, 148, 238) of greater than 0.40, greater than 0.45, or at least 0.46. The top flange (96, 146, 220) includes an elevated portion (100, 150, 222) and a lower or shelf support portion (104, 154, 226) separated by a sidewall (106, 156, 230).
Storage device for containing personal or other items at the beach or other location
A storage device is provided including a support frame having a plurality of elongated support members and a stiffening bracket carried by the support members. An enclosure may be carried by the support frame. The enclosure may be foldable and have a fabric construction and may be detachably attached to the support frame. A plurality of closeable storage compartments may be provided in the enclosure. The storage compartments may contain items such as towels, clothes, shoes, lotion and other items used by a beachgoer or other user, at the beach or other location.
Combined storage shelf
A combined storage shelf is provided, including double-bracing side racks, connection and combination fasteners, storage layers, and beam structures. Each of the double-bracing side racks includes a first upright rod, a second upright rod, and horizontal rods. Each of the connection and combination fasteners includes a body portion, two side portions, fitting grooves, and fastening structures. The storage layers are disposed in the beam structures. Each of the beam structures includes a beam member and beam connection and combination fasteners. Each of the beam connection and combination fasteners includes beam fastening structures. Each of the beam fastening structures is snapped into a fastening structure, so that the beam structures are connected to the connection and combination fasteners.
Apparatus and method to form and mount pans
The present disclosure provides an advantageous pan jig for installing a pan relative to a frame. The disclosed pan jig semi-permanently engages the pan relative to a frame. Specifically, the disclosed apparatus and method of use advantageously facilitates formation and mounting of a drip pan for use with a system that facilitates aeroponic growing. The disclosed aeroponic growing system may include a plurality of drip pans.
PORTABLE ADJUSTABLE SYRINGE GUIDE AND VIAL HOLDER
A portable modular assistive device for storing, measuring, drawing and administering liquid injectable medication or other fluids from a vial and syringe, specifically to insulin for consumers and medical professionals in homes, while traveling and in medical facilities, having means to allow users to quickly, securely, easily and accurately measure and draw the desired amount of insulin and then administer the medication. The device is a portable syringe guide and vial holder comprising a horizontal elongated stabilizer made of rigid light-weight material with high tolerance and low friction, a rigid liquid medication vial protector at one end; a rigid movable syringe carriage with an opening on the top side to firmly hold the assembled syringe and needle to perfectly align the needle to the center section of the rubber top of the vial; a flexible expandable color-coded security strap; a flexible expandable color-coded resistance spacer ring, a removeable adjustable magnifier and calibrator bar, a rigid end cap at the other end of the horizontal stabilizer, with said holder having means to allow users to transport said holder in a pocket or pouch without risk of spillage from the vial, dislodging the components or damage to the vial, needle or syringe.
