SECURE VALVE ACCESS
A secure valve access system includes a cover mounted over the valve stem of a valve. The cover is attached to a support which is mounted on the valve so the cover cannot be removed. Fasteners extend through the support and are selectively jammed against a wrench flat thereby providing a torque transmitting connection between the cover and a valve operator. Retraction of the fasteners breaks the torque transmitting connection allowing the cover to free wheel thereby preventing unauthorized operation of the valve. Rotation of the fasteners is done by an unusual drive socket.
Braking system using a valve
A system for blocking a plug valve, the system comprising: a plug (1) movable in rotation about an axis (Y-Y); and a blocker part (5); the system being characterized in that: the plug (1) presents an index portion having a first ramp (3) and a second ramp (4) that are arranged around the shaft (2) with oppositely-handed slopes; and the blocker part (5) presents first and second index portions (8, 9) adapted to come selectively into contact with the first and second ramps (3, 4) respectively; the first ramp (3) and the first index portion (8) serving to prevent the plug (1) from turning about the longitudinal axis (Y-Y) in a first direction of rotation, and the second ramp (4) and the second index portion (9) serving to prevent the plug (1) from turning about the longitudinal axis (Y-Y) in a second direction of rotation.

Lockable latch
A device for locking a turning handle of a valve containing a handle for actuating a shut-off element of a valve, a latching ring that can be arranged in a rotationally conjoint manner on a valve housing support for an actuating device and an adapter that can be arranged on a drive journal of a shut-off element such that it can be fixed and released again, wherein the adapter and the handle are connected to one another in a releasable manner, wherein an axially displaceable and non-rotatable sliding ring is arranged on the handle, wherein the sliding ring can be displaced axially into a locking or open position and in the locking position the sliding ring locks the rotational movement of the handle and the handle cannot be removed from the valve on account of the position of the sliding ring in the locking position.
Snap-fit lever for a valve assembly
A snap-fit lever for actuation of a valve assembly has an elongated valve stem with a ball. The snap-fit lever has a handle portion and a seat portion coupled to the handle portion. The seat portion defines an entry, a retention cavity, and a passage from the entry to the retention cavity. The passage guides the ball from the entry to the retention cavity. The snap-fit lever has deflectable fingers protruding from the seat portion to form part of the retention cavity and the passage. The deflectable fingers deflect to allow the ball to move from the passage into the retention cavity and capture the ball. The deflectable fingers enable rotation of the handle portion about a first axis of the elongated valve stem and allow rotation of the handle portion about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis for moving the elongated valve stem into an actuated position.

Assembly systems for automatically locking, releasable, safety knobs
The present technology relates to an automatically locking, releasable, safety knob assembly for a stove. The assembly includes a base with a locking notch. An adapter mates with the stove's valve stem and has a head, a tubular middle section, and an adapter base with a central aperture for receiving the valve stem. The knob includes a housing with a housing disk covering the base, an arm movement channel aligned with the locking notch in the locked configuration, and a central aperture for receiving the adapter head. The assembly further includes a sub-assembly with a slidable button allowing free rotation of the knob in the unlocked configuration, an automatic locking arm biased with the slidable button, and engagement of the button causing the arm to disengage from the locking notch and move in the arm movement channel, enabling the knob to freely rotate and rotate the valve stem.

Cardiopulmonary apparatus and methods for preserving organ viability
Apparatus and methods for providing extracorporeal blood circulation and oxygenation control include multi-stage de-airing of blood to provide automated cardiopulmonary replacement to preserve the viability or one or more organs in a clinically dead organ donor or harvested donor organ for subsequent transplantation to an organ receiver patient.
One-way valve cap
Improvements in a one-way valve cap to allow a homeowner to install the cap without requiring tools. This allows a homeowner to simply remove the existing cap and install the new cap to prevent removal from an unauthorized person. The one-way locking mechanism includes a ramp that prevents a person from unscrewing to cap without a tool. The opening allows a person to insert the tool through the outer housing and into the inner housing to unscrew the inner housing from the valve. A hex key or a custom key design can be used for removing the cap. A seal is inserted in the inner housing and seals the inner housing with the valve. The elastomeric seal prevents intrusion of contamination inside of the valve and also provides an additional seal to the valve to reduce a potential leak of gas from the line.
