Coker switch valve operating system and method

An operating system for switching a coker switch valve to drum A, drum B, and bypass. The system has a shear pin linkage between the actuator and the valve stem and a position indicator independent of the actuator, to maintain functionality in the event of shear pin failure; and/or lockout functionality to prevent an inadvertent switch to bypass when switching between drum A and drum B and to lock down bypass mode to prevent an inadvertent switch from bypass to an open drum.

BATTERFLY VALVE

The present invention discloses a butterfly valve including: a valve body, an inner valve seat, a valve core, a valve stem and at least one positioning ring. The valve body has an inlet end, an outlet end, and an axial passage communicating with the inlet end and the outlet end. A valve stem mounting hole is provided between the inlet end and the outlet end in the valve body. The valve body further is provided with a valve seat mounting portion in the axial passage at a position corresponding to the valve stem mounting hole. The inner valve seat is fixedly mounted to the valve seat mounting portion, which is cylindrical and is provided with radial through hole in the side wall corresponding to the valve stem. the valve core is plate-shaped and mounted in the inner valve seat, a radial through hole is provided therein. The valve stem passes through the valve stem mounting hole, the radial through hole of the inner valve seat and the radial through hole of the valve core. The positioning ring is mounted in the valve body at an axial side of the inner valve seat and form a hermetic connection with the inner valve seat. The butterfly valve of this invention has good tightness

Ball valve assembly

A control valve assembly includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet and a fluid flow pathway therebetween. A ball valve is positioned within the fluid flow pathway and includes a rotatable ball having an inlet opening, an outlet opening and a flow pathway therebetween, an upstream seat ring positioned at an inlet side of the ball, and a downstream seat ring positioned at a downstream side of the ball, the seat rings being configured to substantially seal off fluid flow between upstream and downstream sides of the ball except through the ball fluid flow pathway. At least one of the upstream and downstream seat rings is a dynamic sealing seat ring. A retainer ring is positioned between the dynamic sealing seat ring and a portion of the rotatable ball to substantially prevent deformation of a portion of the dynamic sealing seat ring in a direction toward the ball.

Valve gate eutectic lock

A valve gate assembly with a eutectic implement configured to degrade in response to a force imparted along a non-parallel load path. The unique architecture employed for various embodiments ensures a non-parallel load path is employed in triggering the shift in position for a valve gate. This enhances the integrity of the eutectic implements such that a wider variety of valve gate assembly dimensions may be utilized. This, in turn, allows for such assemblies to be utilized with larger production line volumes without compromise to safety measures afforded by such safety valves.
