Fluid Control
20180372242 · 2018-12-27 ·

The present invention relates to fluid control and management. In particular, it relates to valves or regulators for controlling a flow of fluid, such as, but not limited to, taps and faucets. We will describe a fluid control valve comprising a valve body having an inlet, for operative connection to a supply of pressurised fluid, and an outlet and defining a fluid flow path therebetween. A first valve is adjustable under the control of a first valve actuator between a first, or closed, position in which flow of fluid through the first valve is prevented and a second, or open, position in which flow of fluid through the first valve is permitted. The valve is characterised in that the fluid control valve further comprises a second valve associated with the inlet or intermediate the inlet and the first valve, wherein the second valve comprises a second valve body and a second valve actuator adapted such that the first valve actuator bears against the second valve actuator in each of said first and second positions to urge the second valve into an open configuration allowing flow of fluid; and further wherein the fluid control valve is arranged such that the first valve actuator is adjustable to a third position in which the first valve actuator is spaced from the second valve actuator by a separation sufficient to allow fluid pressure at the inlet to cause the second valve to close, preventing flow of fluid through the fluid control valve.

PRESS FIT VALVE ADAPTATION FOR TOP ENTRY VALVE IN CRYOGENIC SERVICE
20180372241 · 2018-12-27 ·

A press-fit in situ retrofit assembly for a top entry valve and a method thereof are disclosed. The assembly includes an annular conduit (201) including a segment (202) of reduced outside diameter and a shoulder (203) on the exterior surface at the proximal end (204), and is configured to conform with an interior surface (205) of a valve seat (206) at the distal end (207). A valve body extension (208) with an interior annular region (301), and an inlet port (209) fluidically connected to the annular region (301). A gland packing push plate (211) is configured to allow the annular conduit (201) to pass through thereby forming an outlet port (212). And a thrust plate (403) is attached to the thrust screws (401). The thrust plate (403) allows the segment (202) of reduced outside diameter at the proximal end (204) of the annular conduit (201) to pass through, with the thrust plate (403) seating on the shoulder (203). The assembly and the method allow the removal of a portion of the fluid from the cold box for downstream processing or manipulation as desired.

PIPELINE CONTROL UNIT
20180372231 · 2018-12-27 ·

A pipeline control unit that joins pipeline conduits and has a housing with an interior compartment for receiving a gate. A valve servicing assembly or pressure plates can be installed onto the housing to form a fluid tight structure to allow removal and replacement of a retained gate without depressurizing a pipeline system. Strongbacks attached to the housing can compress lateral walls of the housing to secure a gate in the interior compartment, and removal of such compression allows removal of the gate while the pipeline is pressurized.

VALVE ADAPTATION FOR TOP ENTRY VALVE IN CRYOGENIC SERVICE

An in situ retrofit assembly for a top entry valve includes an annular conduit (100) configured to conform with a seat support (106) at the distal end (207) and a valve body extension (208) with an interior annular region (301). The valve body extension (208) comprises an inlet port (209) fluidically connected to the annular area (301). A gland packing push plate (211) is configured to allow the annular conduit (100) to pass through thereby forming an outlet port (212). This allows the removal of a portion of the fluid from the cold box for downstream processing or manipulation as desired.

Adapter system for a check valve
20180313464 · 2018-11-01 ·

An adapter system for a check valve which comprises a housing open at the bottom and a lateral wall pierced by a hole, and a flap fitted inside the housing and movable between a shut-off position in which the flap shuts off the hole and a free position in which the flap does not shut off the hole. A plug is provided for being inserted into the hole through an end face and a stop is provided for being placed against the lateral wall of the housing opposite the lateral wall pierced by the hole and comprising an attachment device provided for attaching the stop to the housing and provided so that the plug comes to rest against the stop. Such an adapter system may be installed without it being necessary to dismantle the housing.
