A temperature protection system includes a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) and a check valve assembly. The TMV is operably coupled to provide temperature controlled water to a faucet. The check valve assembly is coupled between the TMV and a source of water. The check valve assembly has a check valve body, a check valve element, and a ball valve. The check valve body has a check valve receiving tube, a water inlet tube and an outlet tube. The water inlet tube defines a water inlet to the check valve body, and the outlet tube forms a water outlet to the check valve body. The check valve element is disposed within the check valve receiving tube and interposed at least in part between the outlet tube and the water inlet. The ball valve disposed in the inlet tube between the check valve element and the water inlet.

The present disclosure provides gas valve assemblies that include a replaceable excess flow valve within a movable flow control body that is removably secured within a valve seat housing. The gas valve assemblies permit the replacement of an excess flow valve without interrupting the supply of gas to a structure and without replacing gas piping.

The rotatable valve carousel may include a substantially cylindrical portion, a removable valve lumen, a valve cap receiver, and a removable valve cap having a substantially radiused portion compatible with a substantially radiused portion of the substantially cylindrical portion of the rotatable valve carousel. The rotatable valve carousel is rotatable between a first state that allows fluid communication through a removable valve at least partially disposed within the removable valve lumen and a second state that allows the removable valve cap and removable valve to be removed and replaced via the valve service port without use of tools while maintaining a sewage connection.

An inventive lock open device for use with a poppet type check valve is disclosed. The device permits bidirectional flow of fluid or gas by defeating the check valve sealing device which permits hydrostatic testing without the need for check valve disassembly or the need for additional tooling.
