Automatic continuous operation robot for laying large-diameter pipelines and operating method therefor

Disclosed are an automatic continuous operation robot for laying large-diameter pipelines and an operating method therefor. The operation robot comprises a platform, a main frame (1), an operation room, a navigation subsystem (1002), a pipe grabbing and conveying subsystem (3), a pipe end face pre-treatment subsystem (4), an on-line measurement subsystem, a pipe supporting subsystem, a welding and welding quality inspection subsystem (5), and a control system. The operating method comprises: first detecting and grabbing a pipe, then performing groove machining on the pipe, fitting the welding end faces of the current pipe and a previous pipe, then putting down the pipe, finely adjusting and fixedly connecting the two pipes, and finally, welding the two pipes. The automatic continuous operation robot for laying large-diameter pipelines has a high degree of automation and high working efficiency, and the laying period is short.

Underground pipe pulling process and pipe pull head

A pipe pulling technique where an adaptor is attached to the end of the pipe prior to the pipe being pulled underground, for example through a drilled hole. Attaching the adaptor to the pipe end prior to the pipe being pulled underground is faster and reduces danger to workers compared to the conventional process of attaching the adaptor to the end of the pipe after the pipe has been pulled underground.

Methods and systems are disclosed for laying trenchless pipes under ground. In these methods strips of fabrics saturated with resin are helically or non-helically wrapped around desired shape mandrels that are located near an entrance to an underground tunnel or an old pipe, and the partially cured pipes are lowered into the tunnel or the old pipe and is pulled by chain or cable from the other side of the tunnel or the old pipe to line the tunnel and the old pipe. One or more kinds of sensors or gauges may also be attached to or embedded in the fabrics to monitor various aspects of the pipe or the content of the pipe.

Field Joint Arrangement for a Pipeline and Protecting Method Thereof

A method protects a field joint of a pipeline, where chamfered edges of thermally-insulating parent coatings on conjoined pipe lengths are in mutual opposition about a longitudinally-extending gap. The method includes manufacturing an hourglass-shaped inner layer around the pipe lengths, which layer may be moulded. The inner layer extends longitudinally along the gap between the chamfered edges and at least partially overlies the chamfered edges. A thermally-insulating solid insert is assembled from two or more parts to lie in the gap surrounding the inner layer, and pressure is applied radially inwardly from the insert to the inner layer. An outer layer of molten material is manufactured around the insert to form a watertight barrier and to form one or more melted interfaces with the inner layer. Corresponding field joint arrangements are also disclosed.

Method and apparatus for sealing and structurally renewing a wall of a manhole

An apparatus and method is provided for structurally renewing and sealing a wall of a manhole. The apparatus includes a tubular sleeve impregnated with a hydrophilic or hydrophobic material capable of expanding when in contact with water, and a liner impregnated with a resinous material capable of curing and hardening. The apparatus is positioned in a manhole and inflated, which forces the tubular sleeve and the liner into contact with the wall of the manhole. The hydrophilic or hydrophobic material is forced into defects of the wall, thus sealing the wall, while the liner is allowed to cure and harden, thus structurally renewing the wall of the manhole.

Die cast magnetic pad
10307894 · 2019-06-04 ·

Present invention teaches a magnetic pad to work with clamping tools where the magnet and protrusions on the top surface provide for easy aligning and connection from the clamping tool to the pad, relying primarily on the use of a ring-shaped magnet embedded in the top surface. The bottom surface provides flexible holding surface upon work pieces with two grooves of different sizes. The pad materials can be made from soft metals to eliminate marring the surface of work pieces.
