Method And System For Moving Substances And Preventing Corrosion In A Conduit
A conduit or pipeline system configured to use a liquid containing fluid, such as water, which typically accumulates in low flow pipelines causing corrosion and accumulation of sediments, to remove sediments and prevent corrosion. The liquid-containing fluid can be introduced into gas lines to remove solids, for example, black powder.
System and method for a pipe assembly
An apparatus and method for configuring a pipe assembly includes an inner pipe positioned within an outer pipe, wherein at least one guide fixedly attached near an end of the pipe assembly cooperates with a recess integrated near the end of the pipe assembly to retain movement of the inner pipe with respect to the outer pipe.
Modular precast pipe
A modular pipe and a method of installing the pipe uses a first pipe section positioned in end to end relation with a second pipe section, the first and second pipe sections being precast from a cement-based material, wherein each pipe section has an outer surface, a flow passage, a first end, and a second end. Each end has a connection profile, an axis, and an end face that is perpendicular to the axis. A collar surrounds and secures the connection between adjacent ends. The collar is constructed from a plurality of collar elements. Each collar element overlaps the pipe connection and engages the connection profile along a portion of the perimeter of each of the first end of the second pipe section and the second end of the first pipe section.
Tubular steel product
A tubular product includes a tubular body made of steel and having a tube wall which includes an opening. The opening is produced by a high-speed stamping process at a stamping speed of more than 4 m/s. The opening is situated in the tube wall in a region thereof which has a tensile strength Rm>800 MPa.
Minimizing coke formation in a hydrocarbon cracker system
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to an improved system for hydrocarbon cracking. In a specific non-limiting embodiment, a hydrocarbon cracker system can include one or more furnace tubes having a plurality of indentations disposed thereon, where the indentations do not project into the interior of the furnace tube.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR METAL POSITIONING AND FORMING
A duct making apparatus includes a first station configured to accept a formable sheet material and a second station configured to receive the formable sheet material from the first station. The first station includes a mechanism for forming one of a male lock bend and a female lock seam in a leading edge of the formable sheet material. The second station includes a retractable conveyor. Movement of the sheet material from the first station to the second station defines an axis of travel of the sheet material. The retractable conveyor is selectively movable from a first position in which the retractable conveyor is in close association with the first station, and a second position in which the retractable conveyor is spaced from the first station.
TUBULAR ELEMENT FOR GAS PRESSURE VESSEL, GAS PRESSURE VESSEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TUBULAR ELEMENT
This invention concerns a tubular element for a gas pressure vessel of an airbag module, in particular of a vehicle, wherein the tubular element (1) consists of high-strength steel, has a first and a second end (17, 18) and from the first end (17) to the second end (18) the tubular element (1) has an undeformed section (11), a transition section (12) and a tapering section (13) and on the tapering section (13) at least one radially outwardly extending collar (14) is formed, characterized in that the collar (14) is separated from the transition section (12) by a first length section (130) having an outer diameter (A1) smaller than the outer diameter (A2) of the collar (14) and the wall thickness of the collar (14) is greater than the wall thickness of the first length section (130). Furthermore, the invention concerns a gas pressure vessel and a process for manufacturing a tubular element according to the invention (1).
U-bends with the reduced pressure losses to fluid distributing networks
Provided herein are components for a fluid network, specifically a U bend structure connected to at least two pipes which is modified for one or more objective functions of interest such as pressure drop, erosion rate, fouling, coke deposition and operating costs. The U bend structure is so designed to have a specific ARQ between 1.0 to 1.02 for 5% of the flow passage from the inlet and from the outlet, and an ARQ from 1.02 to 1.15 over the remaining 90% of the flow passage through an Rb/D ratio being greater than 1 and less than 4.
Prefabricated outdoor thermal duct system
A prefabricated outdoor thermal duct system is provided having a metal formed ductwork air passage, a hard board insulation layer glued to the metal duct leaving custom cut space for duct connections, a custom prefabricated cladding formed and adhered to the hard board insulation, a custom fabricated insert matching the insulation material, installed over the duct connection in the field to seal the joint, and a final fabricated cap adhered to the cladding.
Tapered helically reinforced hose and its manufacture
Flexible tubing or hose is formed from continuously extruded thermoplastic material helically circumferentially wound at a wrapping station around an array of bearing-supported rods that are concurrently but individually turned and are canted relative to an imaginary central axis. The tubing or hose is formed to have a continuous reinforcing rib helically wound therearound and continuously integrally connected thereto. The positions of the rods are progressively altered during formation of at least a contiguous portion of the tubing or hose, causing the resulting contiguous portion to exhibit a progressive continuous change in diameter. The resulting tubing or hose may be transversely severed at intervals along its length, and may be flattened to form cuffs near where severed. A selected portion of the tubing or hose, which may or may not at least partially coincide with the contiguous portion, may be axially compressed and annealed to relieve stress therein.
