A hose which automatically expands longitudinally and automatically expands laterally upon the application of a pressurized liquid is disclosed. The hose can automatically expand longitudinally up to six times its unexpanded or contracted length. Upon release of the pressurized liquid within the hose, the hose will automatically contract to a contracted condition. The hose includes an inner tube made from an elastic material and an outer tube made from a non-elastic material. The inner tube is positioned concentrically within the outer tube in both a contracted condition and an expanded condition. The outer tube is secured to the inner tube only at a first end of the inner and outer tubes and at a second end of the inner and outer tubes. The outer tube moves laterally and longitudinally with respect to the inner tube when the tubes are transitioning between a contracted condition and an expanded condition.

An innerduct for segregating cables in a conduit is provided wherein the innerduct is constructed from one or more strip-shaped lengths of a woven textile fabric and configured to provide multiple longitudinal compartments for the cables, and the textile fabric has a warp of monofilament yarn ends and a filling of a combination of monofilament and multifilament yarn picks, with the multifilament yarn picks being multiple-inserted yarns.

A high elongated portable air-conditioner includes a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator located inside a housing. The air conditioner also includes a cool air inlet and outlet and a warm air inlet and outlet. The air-conditioner has an axial evaporator fan and a radial condenser fan and the housing of the air-conditioner has an elongated shape where the end sections of the elongated air conditioner housing forms a top section and a bottom section, respectively. The air-conditioner has an axial evaporator fan and a radial condenser fan and the housing of the air-conditioner has an elongated shape where the end sections of the elongated air conditioner housing forms a top section and a bottom section, respectively. An extensible-retractable helically reinforced hose is formed by helically wrapping a freshly extruded bead of thermoplastic material about a rotating mandrel to form a helical array of spaced reinforcing coils, and by helically wrapping a freshly extruded thin yet wide web of thermoplastic material so edge regions of the wide web are placed onto and bond continuously with the peripheries of each adjacent pair of the reinforcing coils, with a leading edge region of each new wrap of the web overlying and bonding to a trailing edge region of a prior web wrap. Central portions of each web wrap extend radially inwardly and are sandwiched between adjacent reinforcing coils when the hose is retracted to a minimal axial length.

A convolutely wound tube (1) is formed of a composite sheet including a first sheet (6) and a second sheet (5). The convolutely wound tube includes a first segment (66) formed of a plurality of convolute windings (2) of the first sheet, a second segment (70) formed of directly adhered and overlapping portions of the first sheet and the second sheet, and a third segment (68) formed of the second sheet wrapped about and overlying the first sheet. The second segment is an underwrap portion positioned between a layer of the first sheet and a layer of the second sheet.

This disclosure aims to provide a hose rubber composition capable of ensuring the flame retardance and simultaneously achieving both the tear resistance and the flexibility after vulcanization. The hose rubber composition of this disclosure comprises a rubber component and a carbon black, wherein: a chloroprene rubber is contained at an amount of 60 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; the carbon black is compounded at an amount of more than 30 parts by mass and less than 80 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; and the carbon black contains 13 mass % or more of a specific carbon black having an iodine adsorption of 100 to 160 mg/g and a DBP oil absorption of 70 to 180 mL/100 g.

This disclosure aims to provide a hose rubber composition capable of ensuring the flame retardance and simultaneously achieving both the tear resistance and the flexibility after vulcanization. Provided herein is a polyurethane tube having a small bending repulsive stress and superior inner-pressure creep characteristics in a flexible polyurethane tube. The present polyurethane tube has a bending repulsive stress of 0.035 N/mm.sup.2 or less, wherein the polyurethane tube is formed so that the difference between the storage elastic modulus E.sub.30 at 30 C. and the storage elastic modulus E.sub.80 at 80 C. is 15% or less of E.sub.30.
