Irrigation pipe
RE047697 · 2019-11-05 · ·

An irrigation pipe formed from a sheet that is rolled into a tube about a longitudinal axis of the sheet. The pipe has a watertight layer and a fabric layer. The fabric layer comprises a first fiber arrangement including first main fibers having a first orientation and a second fiber arrangement including second main fibers having a second orientation. The first and second orientations are transverse relative to each other and to the longitudinal axis when viewed in the sheet before it is rolled.

Flexible pipe loop

A flexible pipe loop including three flexible tube members: a first flexible tube member connected to a pipe run, a second flexible tube member connected to the first tube member, and a third flexible tube member connected to the second flexible tube member, the second flexible tube member and the third flexible tube member arranged such that they are substantially parallel. The configuration of the three flexible tube members permits six degrees of freedom of the flexible pipe loop.

High pressure compact spiral hydraulic hose

A hose includes an inner tube defining a central longitudinal axis there through, and is formed of a vulcanized rubber and a plurality of rod shaped particles orientated substantially parallel with the central longitudinal axis, along with other typical materials. The inner tube has a tube wall thickness (t) of between about 0.5 mm to about 1.5 mm, and the plurality of rod shaped particles is incorporated in an amount of 10% or less by weight. The hose further includes a tie layer directly surrounding the inner tube, a first reinforcement layer surrounding the tie layer, and at least a second reinforcement layer surrounding the first reinforcement layer. An interlayer is interposed between the first and the second reinforcement layer, and the interlayer bonds the first reinforcement layer to the second reinforcement layer. An outside cover surrounds the second reinforcement layer, as well as any additional layers.

Hose assembly with modified thermoplastic inner tube

A hose assembly, preferably a garden hose assembly, preferably having an inner tube in contact with and covered by an outer tube or jacket, wherein the jacket is not bonded, connected or attached to the inner tube between and couplers of the hose assembly, and wherein the inner tube includes a modified thermoplastic composition that exhibits desirable characteristics including fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance, and puncture resistance.

Lightweight, high flow hose assembly and method of manufacture

A hose assembly, preferably a garden hose assembly, including a jacketed tube that is lightweight, durable and versatile. The tube is able to expand longitudinally along the length-wise axis of the hose between hose ends, as well as radially or circumferentially, to an expanded state in response to application of at least a minimum fluid pressure to an inner tube of the hose. Once the fluid pressure falls below the minimum fluid pressure, the hose assembly will contract. The two layer construction of the hose assembly allows for storage in relatively compact spaces, similar flow rates, approximately one-half the weight, and improved maneuverability when compared to conventional hose constructions. In one embodiment the jacket is formed around the tube in a continuous process that welds a material, preferably using hot air, into the jacket. The welded joint forms a region of jacket that is preferably about twice the thickness of the rest of the jacket. This thicker region results in a stiffer section of jacket that makes the hose more controllable and consistent in use.

Trenchless pipe-laying

Methods and systems are disclosed for laying trenchless pipes under ground. In these methods strips of fabrics saturated with resin are helically or non-helically wrapped around desired shape mandrels that are located near an entrance to an underground tunnel or an old pipe, and the partially cured pipes are lowered into the tunnel or the old pipe and is pulled by chain or cable from the other side of the tunnel or the old pipe to line the tunnel and the old pipe. One or more kinds of sensors or gauges may also be attached to or embedded in the fabrics to monitor various aspects of the pipe or the content of the pipe.
