Sliding connector spool
11920705 · 2024-03-05 · ·

An embodiment includes a spool that may expand and contract to ease removal and addition of components to an oilfield manifold. The spool may comprise: a first conduit to couple to a first flange via a first ring joint gasket; a second conduit to couple to a second flange via a second ring joint gasket, the second conduit including threads; a third conduit coupled to the first and second conduits; and a fourth conduit including threads, the threads of the fourth conduit directly engaging the threads of the second conduit. The first, second, and third conduits collectively form a channel that couples first and second opposing ends of the spool to one another and which includes a long axis. Rotating the fourth conduit about the long axis moves the second conduit linearly along the long axis.

An air-line safeguard for use with an air-line connection comprising a first connector and an opposing connector, wherein the first connector comprises a tongue, an interface, and a shaft and wherein the opposing connector comprises an opposing tongue, an opposing interface and an opposing shaft, the safeguard comprising of at least one body that removably attaches to and accommodates the first air-line connector and extends between the shaft and the tongue of the first connector and least partially between the opposing tongue and the opposing shaft of the opposing connector to prevent the first connector from substantially rotating relative to the opposing connector.

Locking collar quick union connection

A locking collar quick union connection comprises a split ring and a locking collar sub assembly. The locking collar sub assembly includes a collar, a locking ring, and a locking screw. The locking ring includes outer threads that engage inner threads formed on a larger inner diameter portion of the collar. The split ring includes outer threads that engage inner threads formed on a smaller inner diameter portion of the collar. The locking screw rotationally locks the locking ring to the locking collar.

A pipe union assembly that includes a female end of a first pipe section and a male end of a second pipe section. The pipe union assembly also includes a quick union nut securable to the female end, a retainer collar securable to the quick union nut and a segmented load ring disposed between the male end of the second pipe section and the quick union nut. The quick union nut, the retainer collar and the segmented load ring cooperate to maintain the male end of the second pipe section inside the female end of the first pipe section. A method of using the pipe union assembly to join a first pipe section and a second pipe section.

Connection verification tool

A connection verification tool for verifying a secure connection between two fluid handling components of a fluid handling system. A connection verification tool can include a gauge portion sized sized to be placed over a first fluid handling component connected to a second fluid handling component to verify a secure connection between the two components. If the first fluid handling component is not securely connected to the second fluid handling component such that additional torque may be required to complete the connection between the two components, the gauge portion of the connection verification tool will not fit over the first component coupled to the second component.

FITTING DEVICE FOR MAKING CONNECTION TUBE THAT CAN FINE POSITION ADJUSTMENT OF THE TUBE
20190309881 · 2019-10-10 ·

A tube fitting device for facilitating tube connection position determination includes a fitting body, a pair of fixing nuts, and an O-ring. The fitting body has a cylindrical channel portion into which a first tube and a second tube may be inserted, the cylindrical channel portion comprising an accommodation groove formed therein. Each fixing nut is rotatably coupled to a respective open end of the fitting body and surrounds the first tube and the second tube, respectively. The O-ring is mounted on the accommodation groove and has an inner diameter smaller than that of the cylindrical channel portion such that the inner surface of the O-ring protrudes inside the fitting body to facilitate determining positions of the first tube and the second tube to be inserted into the cylindrical channel of the fitting body.

A CONNECTOR DEVICE
20190277430 · 2019-09-12 ·

A connector device has male and female parts with respective coaxial passageways. An external screwthread of a collet engages an internal screwthread on the female part and relative rotation between those screwthreads causes engagement of the female and male parts. A slot in the collet extends longitudinally and is open at both ends to enable the collet to be splayed as a split collet. A wedge located between the male part and the collet is displaceable longitudinally to splay the collet and lock the male and female parts in a sealing engagement. The connector includes a ring surrounding the end of the collet remote from the engagement between the male and female parts to resist splaying of the collet at that end.

The connector without the male and female parts may also be used for connecting other such male and female parts.
