GROOVED PIPE COUPLING WITH IMPROVED SEALING

A pipe coupling assembly (200) for use with a seal (16) for sealing end portions of pipe elements (34), including: first and second coupling segments (10), each including a curved portion (12) having an inner surface (14) shaped to define an annular channel and shaped and sized to receive the seal therein. A fastening lug member (18) extends from the curved portion, the fastening lugs of the first and second coupling segments at least partially overlap when the fastening lug members are drawn towards each other. At least one restrainer (30) extending from an end (58) of the fastening lug member and in continuation with the inner surface of the curved portion of at least one of the coupling segments, inhibits trapping of the seal between the fastening lug members when the fastening lug members are drawn toward each other. Other embodiments are also described.

Pipe Flange Alignment and Leveling Pins

Pipe flange alignment leveling pins are disclosed to square a flange. The pins include a first and a second cylindrical magnet each configured to have a hollow axis and a positive radial pole and a negative radial pole. A first and a second chamfered hollow pin are engineered to axially receive a respective cylindrical magnet, the chamfer of each pin on an end configured complementary to a flange hole chamfer. A non-magnetic core is engineered to axially slide in and out of the hollow axis of the magnets received into respective pins wherein each of a pair of apparatus resemble a bow tie in cross section configured to align a pair of flanges in two places for a level operation. A level is set across a first and a second assembly of chamfered pins to determine a level flange ready for welding.

Holding assembly

A holding assembly for securing a flange part which is provided on a braking device on an bulkhead of a motor vehicle, which bulkhead divides an engine compartment from a vehicle interior, wherein a holding plate is fastened on the side of the bulkhead facing the engine compartment and is provided with a form-locking connection that engages with the flange part.

SYSTEM INCLUDING A THERMO-STRUCTURAL SPACER FOR AIR INLET AND COMPRESSOR INTERFACE

A thermo-structural spacer is provided. The spacer includes a cylindrical center portion, a first flange connected to a first end of the cylindrical center portion, a second flange connected to a second end of the cylindrical center portion. The second end is distal from the first end. The spacer further includes an annular inner wall configured for providing a through hole extending through a longitudinal axis of the thermo-structural spacer. The cylindrical center portion is narrower than the first flange. The cylindrical center portion is narrower than the second flange. The thermo-structural spacer is configured for restricting heat transfer between the first flange and the second flange.

Directed Jet Impulse Pig Launching System and Method of its Use

A pig trap of this disclosure may include one or more injectors or nozzles located along a sidewall of the barrel and oriented to deliver a jet of fluid toward a back side of a vertical member of a pig or tool. The nozzle may be part of an assembly that includes a longitudinally extending pipe having a flat-profile flange at an inlet end, a curved-profile flange at the nozzle end, and a bend in between the two ends. When the assembly is installed in a sidewall opening of a pig trap, the nozzle delivers a jet of fluid toward the back side of a vertical member of the pig. A leak path may be provided through flanges or formed between the sidewall opening and a periphery of the curved-profile flange. Launch forces of more than 10 to 15 times that of a conventional launcher may be achieved.

Structural connection between in-line pipes and tubes
11125373 · 2021-09-21 · ·

A structural connection between in-line circular or rectangular pipes. The connection is maintained within the outer dimensions of the pipe or tubes, eliminates the need for numerous large welds, and provides for a large center hole that enables items to pass through the connection inside the pipes.

ULTRA-COMPACT TUBE OR PIPE COUPLING FOR VACUUM, LIQUID OR GAS
20210190245 · 2021-06-24 ·

A pipe coupling system including a pair of tubular flange halves and a plurality of clamp segments. A seal resides in a groove on the flange face. The tube mating ends are secured to the pipe or tubing. The flange halves are then drawn together and the seal is compressed. The clamp segments are placed around the periphery of the joined flanges. The pipe coupling system advantageously separates the functions of squeezing the seal from tightening the flanges, minimizes the total space required for achieving a seal, is easily disassembled and reassembled without causing significant process downtime, minimizes the radial space needed beyond the outer diameter of the pipe, and effectively seals against leakage of vacuum, liquid, or gas.

Clamp

A clamp for connecting a first component end to a second component end is provided. The clamp includes a web extending between a first end and a second end, each end being provided with a connecting device for connecting said web ends to each other so that the clamp encloses the component ends. The clamp further includes an alignment structure, which alignment structure is configured to fit with corresponding engagement structures provided at the first component end and the second component end for circumferentially positioning the clamp relative to the component ends.

Valve adapter connection assembly

A self-centering valve adapter connection assembly includes a first equipment flange that is connected to a second equipment flange with an adapter ring. The adapter ring includes a first longitudinal flange with a tapered inner surface and a cylindrical outer surface. The adapter ring aids in centering the first and second equipment flanges while smoothing a fluid flow corridor between the first equipment flange and the second equipment flange.

Magnetic connecting member, in particular for pipe flanges

Pair of connecting plates contain on the backside pits fitted with magnets, while at the “connected” position the connecting plates are adjacent, they have identical axially oriented polarization. The pits have passage channels and are laid-out on imaginary circles, where the neighboring magnets have alternating polarization and by pairs and/or threes are covered with magnetic hasps fitted with hasp screws. Centering and disconnection are ensured with the help of centering holes, and possibly centering dimples, fitted with connecting/disconnecting devices. Additional passages placed between two circles with magnets can be added. Possible closing device is attached by spacing posts, spacing screws and ring.
