Advanced Coupling System
20210018122 · 2021-01-21 ·

An advanced coupling system that mechanically joins components such as pipe elements in an end to end configuration. Stiffening rings are fitted with grooves which receive sealing elements. A near zero gap exists at the joint. Coupling segments having different sized keys and angles connect any components together regardless of groove size, shape, dimension and angles. Monitoring of components is achieved. Accessories can be fitted between components being joined face to face. Attachments assist with the joining and separation of components and the installation of coupling segments.

Connecting tubular members

A tubular connector includes a first tubular member that includes a female end; a second tubular member including a male end insertable into the female end, each of the first and second tubular members including a bore that extends there through; a clamp positionable about the first and second tubular members to urge the male and female ends into sealing engagement; a housing that at least partially encloses the clamp such that a chamber is defined between the clamp and the housing; and a plate positionable between an axial end of the clamp and the housing.

Arrangement for fluid-sealing connection of lines

An arrangement for fluid-tight connecting of lines including a first and second connection element. The connection elements are aligned with each other and connected by a fastening mechanism. The arrangement includes an intermediate element between the connection elements and a holding element and a second sealing element. A first sealing element is arranged in the holding element between the sealing surfaces of the connection elements. The holding element has a hollow wall with a first and second edge. The second sealing element is connected to the holding element on the second edge. The intermediate element includes an indentation extending from a first end to a second end formed near the first sealing element. The first end has a conical shape, wherein oppositely arranged side walls of the indentation rest on one another on the outer side of the sealing element.

Blind flange and method of installing same for isolating hazardous energy within a facility
10876670 · 2020-12-29 · ·

Implementations of the present disclosure relate to a blind flange and a method of installing same for isolating hazardous energy in order to provide a safe environment for workers to conduct maintenance or repair work on a facility. The blind flange has a body that defines one or more modified bores. The one or more modified bores are alignable with flanged-connection apertures of one side of a flanged connection. The one or more modified bores are configured to receive and releasably hold a connection member therein, so as to connect to only one side of the flanged connection. The modified bores allow a blind flanged-connection to be disassembled and reassemble in less time than known blind flanged-connections when one side of the blind flanged-connection is disconnected from the blind flanged-connection. Furthermore, the blind flange of the present disclosure allows the blind flange to remain connected to one side of a flanged connection while the other side is disconnected.

FIXING DEVICE FOR FASTENERS HAVING A POLYGONAL HEAD
20200386262 · 2020-12-10 ·

A fixing device for fasteners having a polygonal head for the detachable connection of flanges which can be connected to one another and clamped against one another by a screw connection includes a chain which encompasses at least some regions of the lateral surface of the polygonal heads in a form-fitting manner and inhibits the rotation of said fasteners. The chain comprises a plurality of spaced members, each having at least one receptacle, the inner profile of which corresponds to the lateral surface of the polygonal heads. The chain comprises at least one releasable tensioner for detachably joining two ends of the chain. A flexible securing means is provided, which extends circumferentially along the chain, wherein at least two ends of the securing means can be releasably connected to one another.

V-CLAMP TOOL APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
20200376638 · 2020-12-03 ·

Tools for use in installing and removing V-clamps are disclosed. One embodiment of a V-clamp tool includes a spreader mechanism, an actuator cable, and a plier element mechanically coupled so as to expand or contract hooks shaped to engage corresponding V-clamp brackets to widen or shrink the V-clamp opening for installation or removal.

Telescoping meter flange
10851924 · 2020-12-01 · ·

A telescoping fluid coupling (10,110) is provided for use with a fluid flow device (12) and includes a coupling body (14,114) having a fluid port (16,116) extending along a longitudinal axis (18,118). A retainer (20,120) is fixed to the body (14,114) and includes a retaining shoulder (26,126). A flange (22,122) is mounted to the fluid port (16,116) and includes a radially inwardly facing guide surface (36,136) that surrounds a mount surface (24,124) and extends longitudinally along the axis (18,118) to provide guided, sliding translation of the guide surface (36,136) relative to the mount surface (24,124) along the axis (18,118). The flange (22,122) further includes a stop shoulder (38,138) to engage the retaining shoulder (26,126) to limit the translation of the flange (22,122) along the axis (18,128).

Quick Installation Coupling

The present disclosure relates to an installation ready housing type pipe coupling for creating a sealed connection between coaxial groove ended pipes, a hold open clip for the coupling, and other modifications and improvements thereof. The coupling comprises a first and second housing segments creating a cavity, a gasket provided within the cavity, a first and second bolts and nuts connecting the hosing segments at opposite ends, and a hold open clip. The first nut is affixed to the first bolt. The second nut can be adjusted along the second bolt. The hold open clip helps to attach the two housing segments in the preassembled state while keeping the coupling open. The hold open clip may also indicate a proper installation of the coupling.

Directed jet impulse pig launching system and method of its use
10801658 · 2020-10-13 · ·

A pig trap of this disclosure may include one or more injectors or nozzles located along a sidewall of the barrel and oriented to deliver a jet of fluid toward a back side of a vertical member of a pig or tool. The nozzle may be part of an assembly that includes a longitudinally extending pipe having a flat-profile flange at an inlet end, a curved-profile flange at the nozzle end, and a bend in between the two ends. When the assembly is installed in a sidewall opening of a pig trap, the nozzle delivers a jet of fluid toward the back side of a vertical member of the pig. A leak path may be provided through flanges or formed between the sidewall opening and a periphery of the curved-profile flange. Launch forces of more than 10 to 15 times that of a conventional launcher may be achieved.

Twist Lock Coupling System and Method
