Clamping collar with retaining fingers
11619330 · 2023-04-04 ·

A clamping system for connecting a first and a second tube whose opposite ends have clamping surfaces protruding from the cylindrical outer surface of said tubes. The system comprises a collar which comprises a belt able to be clamped around said clamping surfaces, the belt having a first and a second flank between which an internal recess able to receive the clamping surfaces is delimited. The collar carries at least one retaining finger which has a free end portion protruding axially beyond the edge of the first flank, said free end portion having a retaining edge configured to be retained outside the belt by a radially protruding element.

Method of coupling two pipes

A method of coupling two pipes includes fastening two coupling segments into an untightened configuration, the two coupling segments comprising a first segment and a second segment, the first segment comprising a first end and a second end distal to the first end, the second segment comprising a first end and a second end distal to the first end, wherein fastening the two coupling segments comprises: placing a pivot clip between the second end of the first segment and the first end of the second segment, the pivot clip configured to maintain a separation distance between the second end of the first segment and the first end of the second segment; and tightening a first tightening element to draw the second end of the first segment towards the first end of the second segment; and placing ends of the two pipes between the two coupling segments.

Steam deflector shield

Apparatus and method for shielding leakage from a flanged pipe coupling comprising: a housing having a front wall, a rear wall, and a top wall, the top wall depending downwardly to form side walls intermediate the front and rear walls thus forming a closure having a bottom which is open; wherein the housing contains an interior space in between the front and rear wall and below the top wall, the interior space shaped to fit around a flanged pipe coupling; and wherein the housing is shaped so as to prevent rotation of the apparatus with respect to the flanged pipe coupling.

FULL FLOW PIPE CONNECTOR

Apparatus are provided for a shield and flange support for a duct. The shield and flange support includes a first side and a second side coupled to the first side to extend toward the duct. The first side and the second side cooperate to define a cavity, and the cavity includes at least one of a first insulating fluid and a first insulating solid.

Pipe coupling construction, and coupling

A pipe coupling construction which can be used for coupling of a high-pressure pipe includes an inner bush of a non-metallic material and an outer bush, which bushes in axial section have parts which mesh with each other in order to transmit axial forces. The inner bush can be fused or adhered to an outer cover layer of the pipe. The coupling has a metal sleeve construction. The outer bush has an outer bush protruding end which protrudes with respect to the inner bush and the metal sleeve construction is at least partially located within the outer bush protruding end. The metal sleeve construction and outer bush in axial section have parts which mesh with each other.

Rotating shaft coupling assembly

A rotating shaft coupling assembly includes a first rotating shaft defining a step at a longitudinal end. A second rotating shaft has a longitudinal end to be received against the step of the first rotating shaft such that the first and second rotating shafts form an overlapping portion. A coupler sleeve including a shape memory alloy is disposed about at least the overlapping portion of the first and second rotating shafts to couple the shafts together.

Rotatable joint

An improved rotatable joint for fluid flow therethrough having (a) a housing, (b) a tube fitting axially aligned with the housing, (c) a bearing around the tube fitting and configured to permit relative rotation of the housing and tube fitting, and (d) a seal between the housing and tube fitting, the improvement wherein (i) the housing includes one or more leak detection ports and (ii) the rotatable joint is configured such that any leakage of fluid through the rotatable joint flows first around the seal to the bearing and then through one or more of the leak detection ports to the atmosphere.

CONNECTION METHOD AND AXIAL ALIGNMENT MECHANISM

To make it possible to remove pipe members that are connected together by moving the pipe members in a radial direction, for example, without moving the pipe members in an axial direction, a pipe joint comprises a series of unit members each of which is rotatably connected to the adjacent one another and a fastener for connecting the unit members locating at both ends. A pair of the pipe members take a centering posture or a posture equivalent to the centering posture by engaging the flange portion of a pair of the pipe members with both axial sides of the unit members. A pair of the pipe members are connected together in the centering posture by connecting the unit members locating at both ends using the fastener so as to make the unit members in an annular state and by fastening the fastener.
