A retainer allows reduction in a length in a direction of insertion of a flexible pipe and capable of being engaged with the flexible pipe without requiring motions of other members. The retainer is a retainer having a shape of a ring and used in a pipe joint, including: a plurality of pawls for getting into a valley of a corrugated pipe of a flexible pipe to be inserted into the pipe joint; a plurality of supports for contacting an inner surface of a pipe joint body housing the retainer in the pipe joint, the supports being continuous with corresponding ones of the pawls as viewed in a direction of a center axis of the ring of the retainer; and a connector connecting the pawls and the supports in a plurality of combinations continuous with each other. The connector is more elastically deformable than the pawls and the supports.

Low leakage duct segment using expansion joint assembly

A turbine shroud for incorporation in a turbine of a gas turbine engine has a plurality of butted shroud segments circumferentially arrayed to form a ring. Each of the shroud segments has an arcuate main shroud body portion, a radially inward extending annular flange attached to a first end of the main body portion, and a radially outward extending flange with a plurality of mounting apertures attached to a second end of the main shroud body portion. A first mounting aperture is sized smaller than an adjacent second mounting aperture in the radially outward extending flange.

A HOSE COUPLING
20190285213 · 2019-09-19 ·

A pipe coupling comprising a pipe branch (2), a hose (3), and a retainer (4). The pipe branch forms a proximal branch section (5) terminating the pipe branch, a distal branch section (6) in extension to the proximal branch section, and an expanded section (7) with an increased diameter between the proximal branch section and the distal branch section. The hose terminating axially in an opening configured to receive the proximal branch section (5) in an axial direction and comprising a proximal fold (9), a distal fold (10), and an internal gasket (11) between the proximal fold and the distal fold, the gasket being arranged to seal between an inner surface of the hose and an outer surface of the proximal branch section. Metal-to-metal sealing

Methods and systems for metal-to-metal sealing and, in particular, to the use of sintered parts to create metal-to-metal sealing joints is disclosed. In one example, a metal-to-metal sealing joint may comprise: a first mating surface and a second mating surface; wherein the first mating surface is formed on a first assembly having an annular projection with one or more annular grooves and the second mating surface is formed on a second assembly; wherein the projection is configured such that when the first and second surfaces are brought into mating contact, the annular projection on the first mating surface deforms the second mating surface to form a sealing joint. In this way, the metal-to-metal sealing joint between the first and second mating surfaces may minimize oil leakage between two assemblies, thereby improving engine fuel economy while simplifying part manufacturing.
