Pipe seal
A seal is provided that includes a body, a left arm extending from the body and having an anti-rotation portion, and a right arm extending from the body and having an anti-rotation portion. The seal further includes a lip extending from the body between the left and right arms. The lip is sized and shaped to contact an inside surface of the socket when the first and second pipes are assembled together.
FLEXIBLE DUCT WITH INTERCHANGEABLE END, CONNECTOR FOR FLEXIBLE DUCT, AND METHOD THEREOF
A flexible duct includes a hollow tube shape, at least one end, a first circumferential attachment and a second circumferential attachment integral to the at least one end, wherein the first circumferential attachment and the second circumferential attachment are each configured to independently mechanically couple the at least one end around a first inlet or a first outlet, and wherein the first circumferential attachment and the second circumferential attachment are different. A method includes providing a flexible duct, selecting one of the first circumferential attachment or second circumferential attachment of the flexible duct, and mechanically coupling the selected first circumferential attachment or second circumferential attachment around the first inlet or first outlet. A connector for a flexible duct includes a hollow tube shape extending between a first connector end and a second connector end and a first circumferential attachment and second circumferential attachment integral to the at least one end.
PIPE CONNECTOR
A three-way pipe connector set for connecting pipes such as corrugated insulated pipes used for transporting hot water such as in central heating systems. The connector set can accommodate pipes of different diameter, and comprises a mating pair of a lid piece and bottom piece, each having three semi-circular edge portions that mate with the respective corresponding portions in the mating piece to form circular holes, the circular holes having adjacent edge grooves forming circular grooves when the pieces mate. The set includes at least two top hat pieces, each comprising a cylinder portion and a flange portion, the flange portion having an edge groove to fit an O-ring and configured to fit in a circular groove of the connector. Pipe gaskets are provided for each top hat piece that fit around a suitable pipe to form a tight seal between the pipe and connector.
Fire-rated modular duct assembly suitable for exhausting flammable or hazardous gases, vapours and other materials
A fire-rated exhaust duct system comprising a modular configuration or structure. The fire-rated exhaust duct system comprises a plurality of exhaust duct sections. Each of the exhaust duct sections is configured to be joined or connected with other exhaust duct sections in the field or at an installation site, e.g. in building housing a kitchen facility or a laboratory facility to form longer sections or runs for exhaust duct system.
Mechanical connector utilizing shear pins to transfer torque
This invention builds up on technical features and on the industry experience with the use of Merlin™ family connectors. In addition to friction, structural means utilized to transfer high torsional loads include shear pins and may also include: interlocked thread systems, dog-clutch teeth, keys and splines, all used in isolation or in arbitrary combinations. Static and fatigue bending load capacities of the connectors remain high, while the axial load capacities may or may not be high, depending on the design requirements. Connectors according to this invention can be built as new, carefully optimized designs. In some cases upgrading existing Merlin™ family connector designs to increase they torque transfer capacities may be also feasible.
Sealing vibrational-counterrotation-proof hose joint
A sealing vibrational-counterrotation-proof hose joint capable of solving the poor sealing performance and the poor vibrational-counterrotation-proof performance of the prior hose joints, comprising a joint main body and a screw cap; a connecting section is arranged on the joint main body, and the screw cap is connected to the connecting section; the connecting section is provided with hooking claws; a squeezing section is arranged on the screw cap, and the squeezing section can squeeze the hooking claws, thereby enabling the hooking claws to bend towards the central axis of the joint main body; the screw cap is provided with locking blocks; the side wall of the connecting section is provided with locking grooves and a plurality of spiral guide bars; the spiral guide bars are uniformly distributed in a circumferential direction by taking the central axis of the joint main body as the center.
Corrugated hose with bayonet connector
A corrugated hose particularly suited for use for discharge of waste water from an RV is disclosed herein, the corrugated hose having a plurality of accordion-type corrugations and a proximal end, the proximal end having a cylindrical section and a circumferential ridge located between the accordion-type corrugations and the proximal end of the corrugated hose; wherein the circumferential ridge is sandwiched in close frictional contact between a locking ring and a bayonet connector.
No contact connectors
A coupling body having an opening and configured to receive a pipe in the opening. The coupling body is made of a metal material and the pipe is made of a different metal material to the metal material of the coupling body. An insulating sleeve lines at least a portion of an inner periphery of the coupling body adjacent the opening. The insulating sleeve is made of non-metallic material and is configured to serve as a physical non-metallic barrier between the metal material of the coupling and the different metal material of the pipe so the different metal material of the pipe does not contact the metallic material of the coupling body.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR EARTH-BONDING OF A PIPING SYSTEM
A connector assembly for earth-bonding of a corrugated stainless steel tubing system is disclosed. The collector assembly incorporates a fitting to hold a tubing at least at one opening of the fitting, a collet at inner side of the at least one opening to enable sealing of the tubing, and a nut configured on outer side of the one or more opening of the fitting. The connector assembly can include one or more holes positioned at pre-defined positions on the fitting or nut to electrically couple one or more earth-bonding means at the one or more holes. The earthing means can include an earthing cable coupled to the fitting or the nut by an earth-bonding clamp or a tightening screw, which can be connected to an electrical earth or electric zero potential for providing earth-bonding.
Configuration For Joining And Maintaining Aligned Engagement Between Sections Of Drainage Pipe
A reliable connection between the mating bell and spigot portions of adjoining pipe sections is proposed that utilizes a releasable interlocking configuration that maintains the connectivity between the two sections regardless of whether or not the gasket remains in position. Advantageously, the interlocking configuration requires only slight modifications to the bell and spigot portions of existing pipe, allowing for the configuration to be retro-fit onto existing pipe. One embodiment may utilize a set of locking (releasable) ties to join the pipe sections, and another embodiment may utilize a set of key members (releasable) that pass through aligned slots in the pipe sections.
