A prefabricated part comprises a concrete body that has the form of a pipe section with two pipe ends and a pipe inner side. The pipe inner side is lined at least in some areas by a lining made of plastic material connected to the concrete body, and at least one of the pipe ends is covered at least in some areas by a molded part made of plastic material connected to the concrete body. At least the pipe end, which is covered at least in some areas, has a connecting joint in order to connect the pipe end to a pipe end of a further prefabricated part. The lining consists of a thermoplastic material and the molded part consists of a thermosetting plastic. The lining and the molded part are connected to each other in a sealed manner.

Corrugated hose weld end

A hose assembly includes a corrugated metal tube having a plurality of corrugations and an outer cuff portion extending from an endmost one of the plurality of corrugations, radially outward of an inner diameter of the endmost corrugation, an end connection having an outer end defining a fluid connector and an inner end defining a nose portion received in the outer cuff portion of the corrugated metal tube, and a collar surrounding the outer cuff portion of the corrugated metal tube and the nose portion of the end connection. The collar, the outer cuff portion, and the nose portion are welded together.

Plug unit and connection system for connecting capillary tubes, especially for high-performance liquid chromatography

A plug unit for connecting capillary tubes includes a plug housing that has an axial borehole, a plug capillary tube that projects through the axial borehole, and a sealing element that surrounds the plug capillary tube. The front end of the plug capillary tube is sealed by an elastic and/or plastic deformation of the sealing element against the capillary tube receptacle opening of a bushing unit. A hollow cylindrical pressure piece is provided that surrounds the sealing element in an axial region facing away from the end surface of the plug capillary tube, and the pressure piece has a rearward end side that faces away from the end surface of the plug capillary tube and that can be loaded by the plug housing with an axial pressure force when the plug unit and bushing unit are connected.

Mechanical connector utilizing interlocked threads to transfer torque

This invention builds up on technical features and on the industry experience with the use of Merlin™ family connectors. In addition to friction, structural means utilized to transfer high torsional loads include interlocked thread systems and may also include: dog-clutch teeth, shear pins, keys and splines, all used in isolation or in arbitrary combinations. Static and fatigue bending load capacities of the connectors remain high, while the axial load capacities may or may not be high, depending on the design requirements. Connectors according to this invention can be built as new, carefully optimized designs. In some cases upgrading existing Merlin™ family connector designs to increase they torque transfer capacities may be also feasible.

PIPE-IN-PIPE OUTER PIPELINE SEALING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The present disclosure provides techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes an outer pipeline, an inner pipeline, and an outer pipeline sealing mechanism. The outer pipeline includes an outer pipe fitting to be secured to an end of an outer pipe segment. The inner pipeline includes an inner pipe fitting to be secured to another end of an inner pipe segment. The outer pipeline sealing mechanism includes a sealing plate to be secured to the outer pipe fitting; a sealing stem that extends out axially from the sealing plate, in which the sealing stem is to be secured to the inner pipe fitting to facilitate sealing an inner pipeline bore from an outer pipeline bore; and a seal ring to be compressed between the sealing plate and the outer pipe fitting to facilitate sealing the outer pipeline bore of the outer pipeline from external environmental conditions.
