CONNECTOR FOR FLEXIBLE TUBING USED FOR FLUID TRANSPORT
Various implementations include a connector for connecting flexible tubing segments. The connector includes a connector body having a first end and a second end disposed opposite one another along a longitudinal axis of the connector body. The connector body defines a first bore, a second bore, and a lumen. The first bore is configured for receiving an end portion of a first flexible tubing segment therein. The first bore has a circular cross-sectional shape and a first diameter. The second bore is configured for receiving an end portion of a second flexible tubing segment therein. The second bore has a circular cross-sectional shape and a second diameter. The lumen extends from the first bore to the second bore. The lumen has a circular cross-sectional shape and a third diameter that is less than each of the first diameter and the second diameter.

METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO FLEXIBLE TUBULAR CONTAINERS
A method for connecting two containers (10, 12), with the steps: 1) folding a first open end region (22) of a first container (10) around a first ring (14) in such a manner that a cuff (26) arises, 2) folding a second open end region (24) of a second container (12) around a second ring (16) in such a manner that a further cuff (28) arises, 3) introducing the one ring (16) into the other ring (14) with its attached container (10), 4) aligning the two rings (14, 16) parallel to and coaxially with each other, 5) bringing the rings (14, 16) into contact with film material (18) clamped between them, and 6) the cuff (28) which is assigned to the ring (16) introduced into the other ring (14) with its container (10), being turned inside out in the direction of the other cuff (26) which has already been folded on the other ring (14).

MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
A medical instrument includes a first tube body and a second tube body joined to the first tube body by being inserted in the lumen of the first tube body. The second tube body is more rigid than the first tube body. The medical instrument includes a coating layer made of a biocompatible material disposed on the inner peripheral surfaces of the first and second tube bodies. The inner peripheral surface of the second tube body is radially inward of the inner peripheral surface of the first tube body to create a level difference portion. The thickness of the part of the coating layer which coats the level difference portion is larger than the thickness of the level difference portion.

UNIONS FOR JOINING FLUID CONDUITS
A union for connecting a first fluid conduit and a second fluid conduit includes a body. The body defines a central passage about a central longitudinal axis of the body with the body having a first side and a second side. The body is configured to define a first adhesive channel between a first fluid conduit and the first side of the body and to define a second adhesive channel between a second fluid conduit and the second side of the body. The body defining an injection port position at a midpoint of the body. The injection port in fluid communication with the first adhesive channel and the second adhesive channel and is configured to deliver adhesive into the first adhesive channel and the second adhesive channel.

Duct connection device
A duct is shaped and sized for connectability to a vent (or vent adaptor). The duct has an end portion with a flared section separated from a tapered flap section by a lip. The flaps are foldable inwardly at the lip upon engagement with the vent, and airflow through the duct presses the folded flaps against the vent for additional securement of the connection between same. Additional securement and stability may be provided by an adhesive retaining a tapered flap section to a flared section following inward folding of the tapered flap section.
Enhanced seal
An enhanced seal may comprise an annular portion having an annular portion peripheral wall and a cylindrical portion having a cylindrical portion peripheral wall. A passageway may extend through each of the annular portion and cylindrical portion. One or more annular protrusions may extend away from the cylindrical portion.
