Hose restraint system
10697576 · 2020-06-30 ·

A hose restraint system includes a base, a key, and a flexible connector. The flexible connector is secured at a proximal end to the key and at a distal end to a flexible hose. The key is configured to releasably engage the base. The base includes a sensor that provides a control signal to a control system indicating whether the key is in the locked position. The control system provides an operational interlock to prevent fluid flow in the flexible hose if the key is not in the locked position.

Interior tubing monitoring devices

Systems, devices, and methods for monitoring flexible tubing connections are described. An example flexible tube device may include a pair of ends and an opening disposed at one of the ends. The opening may define a receiving section to receive a male fitting. The flexible tube may also include a sensing device extending within the flexible tube at the receiving section. The sensing device may be configured to sense an expansion or a contraction of the flexible tube at the receiving section.

HOSE ENDING, MAINLY AS CONNECTING ELEMENT

Hose has a body (3) and a mouthpiece (1) connected with the body (3). The mouthpiece (1) is slidably placed against the body (3); it is designed for mounting of the end of the hose and it has a thickening (2). The ending has a circumferential stop (4) placed in the axis of the mouthpiece (1), whereby the stop (4) has on its circumference a touch surface which is oriented inside, against the thickening (2) on the mouthpiece (1). The mouthpiece (1) can be sealed by sealing ring (7) against the body (3), whereby the ring (7) is placed in the sealing zone (9), or the mouthpiece (1) can be connected with the body (3) by a flexible bellow. During the movement of the mouthpiece (1) outside the touch surface of the stop (4) and the outer surface of the hose in the zone with the thickening (2) draw closer and the hose is held on the mouthpiece (1) by the underpressure between the surface of the stop (4) and the thickening (2). The increasing pressure in the hose increases the underpressure of the hose on the mouthpiece (1 ) which increases the sealing effect of the joint.

DRAIN ASSEMBLY FOR A HOUSING OF A FILTER ASSEMBLY

An adapter is provided for fluidly coupling a hose to a housing of a filter assembly having a drain body connected to the housing. The adapter has a retaining cap that is disposed about a central axis and is configured to couple with the drain body. A hose barb body is disposed rotatably about the central axis. The hose barb body has a tapered portion that is configured to receive at least a portion of the drain body therein, and a cylindrical portion that extends from the tapered portion. The cylindrical portion is configured to allow selective coupling of a hose thereon. A retaining collar is disposed about the central axis and has a shoulder that is configured to bear the hose barb body thereon. Multiple resilient tabs upstanding from the shoulder have ends laterally extending away from the central axis for engaging with the retaining cap.

Hose coupler

A hose coupler generally includes a hose adapter including opposing ends, an interior surface forming a fluid passage between the opposed ends, and an exterior surface including a series of barbs for engaging an interior surface of a hose that is configured to be fluidly connected to the hose adapter. A ferrule is connected to the hose adapter and is positioned to at least partially surround the exterior surface of the hose adapter. The ferrule has an interior surface facing the exterior surface of the hose adapter. The interior surface defines at least one cutting rib having a sharp corner or edge for piercing an outer layer of the hose and a plurality of compression ribs each defining a rounded surface for compressing the hose against the barbs.

Garden hose with metal sheath
10591098 · 2020-03-17 · ·

A garden hose with an outer flexible sheath of spirally wound and linked turns of sheet material, an inner tube of flexible polymer inside the sheath and end couplers with nipples press fit into ends of the tube and connector mechanisms connecting the couplers to the outer sheath. Each connector mechanism has inner and outer press fit shells at the end of the sheath, with flared ends separated by a washer.

Hydraulic tube connector for vehicle

A hydraulic tube connector for vehicle may include a connector body including a through hole into which a tube having a tube protrusion protruding outward is inserted, and a pair of guide grooves formed around the through hole and a coupling member configured to couple the tube with the through hole of the connector body, wherein the coupling member includes a tube coupling portion configured to surround the tube and a pair of coupling guides configured to be inserted into the pair of guide grooves.

Joining structure and joining method thereof

Provided are: a joining structure capable of suitably obtaining joining strength between components which compose the joining structure; and a joining method thereof. For this purpose, a joining structure (1) includes: a shaft member (10); and a thin-walled cylindrical member (20) that fits an inner circumferential surface thereof to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft member (10). The thin-walled cylindrical member (20) has: a first crimped portion (21), in which an axially intermediate portion is reduced in diameter in a radial direction, and is crimped to the shaft member (10); and a second crimped portion (22), in which an end surface (20a) is folded radially inward, and is crimped to the shaft member (10).
