Quick connect fluid connector with temperature sensing
10914413 · 2021-02-09 · ·

A quick connect fluid connector that is detachably connectable to a fluid system to process a gas into or from the fluid system through the quick connect fluid connector. The quick connect fluid connector includes one or more temperature sensors that can sense the temperature of the gas within the fluid connector during processing. Based on the sensed temperature(s), an alert can be generated to alert a human operator conducting the processing and/or automatically shut-off the processing if the sensed temperature becomes too high. The operator will therefore be alerted if the cylinders are being processed too quickly or if the processing duration could be shortened.

High pressure pipe and fitting restraint system

A restraint system for use in securing temporary flow lines that include multiple pipe sections, each pair of pipe sections connected together with a fitting or coupling such as a hammer joint coupling. The system includes multiple pluralities of endless loop slings connected end to end with a cow hitch or girth hitch knot. Disconnectable fittings (e.g., shackles) are placed every three or more slings so that easy disassembly is afforded in case of leakage or other failure.

Fuel Delivery Unit, Fuel Delivery System and Vehicle
20210213826 · 2021-07-15 ·

A fuel delivery unit for use within a vehicle fuel tank includes: a surge tank arranged on a wall of the fuel tank, a feed line extending from a region of the surge tank to a connector stub on the flange, and a wiring harness extending from the fuel pump to the flange. A flange-side holder forms a first force application point for fixing the wiring harness on a flange side, and a surge tank-side holder forms a second force application point for fixing the wiring harness on the surge tank side. The wiring harness, the flange-side holder and the surge tank-side holder together form a force absorber configured to protect the feed line and the connector stub during a vehicle impact by absorbing kinetic energy from the impact acting on the fuel delivery unit, thereby dissipating the kinetic energy.

Quick-release Johnston coupling
20210207759 · 2021-07-08 ·

A plug-in coupling for connecting a first double-walled vacuum-insulated cryogenic line to a second. The plug-in coupling has a coupling plug and a coupling socket. The coupling plug can be plugged into the coupling socket, these being retained in a plugged-together state by fixing means. A guide column is arranged on the coupling plug or the coupling socket. The guide column has arranged on it elastic means which, in the assembled state of the plug-in coupling, are subjected to stressing and which subject the coupling plug and/or coupling socket to an elastic force which strives to release the coupling plug and coupling socket from one another as soon as the fixing means no longer hold the coupling plug and coupling socket together. The elastic energy stored in the elastic means ensures that, in the event of an emergency, the coupling plug and coupling socket are quickly released from one another.

Security box
10900604 · 2021-01-26 ·

A security box for a pipe assembly includes a chest having a first wall and a second wall, together at least partially defining an interior, and a lid configured to engage the chest. The lid has an open position relative to the chest for permitting access to the interior of the chest, and a closed position in which the lid at least partially restricts access to the interior of the chest. At least when the lid is in the closed position, a first hole defined at least partially in the first wall aligns with a second hole defined at least partially in the second wall. The first hole and the second hole are defined at opposite ends of the security box. The holes are defined in part by cutouts defined in edges of the walls of chest and in part by cutouts defined in edges of the lid.

Methods, devices, and systems for coupling fluid lines

The disclosed subject matter includes embodiments of fluid couplings that prevent or discourage misconnection of fluid lines. In embodiments, a coupling device may be configured according to lookup table that defines compatible configurations of connectors. The configurations may be based on the presence and absence of interference members at standardized locations on the respective connectors. The interference members may include posts that mechanically interfere with other posts, but can be inserted into holes when two connectors have a compatible configuration.
