A diesel fuel cross-drop prevention kit that provides a multitude of couplings and fittings designed only for a single type of fuel. The kit includes a drop-elbow coupler, a storage-tank inlet tube, a primary key slot, a primary key protrusion, a retractable pull pin, a hose, a gravity-drop tube fitting, a secondary key slot, and a secondary key protrusion. The primary key slot traverses into an internal surface of the drop-elbow coupler. The primary key protrusion is externally and laterally connected to the storage-tank inlet tube. The storage-tank inlet tube is positioned within the drop-elbow coupler with the primary key protrusion being positioned within the primary key slot. The secondary key slot traverses into a first female coupler tube of the hose. The secondary key protrusion is externally connected to the gravity-drop tube fitting. This allows the first female coupler tube to fit over the gravity-drop tube fitting.

The bend stiffener comprises a helically shaped body arranged to surround a stiffened length section of the flexible pipe body. A method of using a pipe cap assembly for a normally-sealed system includes attaching the base portion of a pipe cap to a pipe of a normally sealed system. A transition cap having internal threads is releasably coupled to an externally-threaded cylindrical connector portion of the pipe cap for sealing the same during normal operation. When access to the normally sealed system is required, the transition cap is unthreaded from the pipe cap, and a transition fitting is installed instead. A drain hose, vent hose, or the like, may be coupled to an access port of the transition fitting and fastened thereto for passing fluids to or from the normally sealed system. Alternatively, a test instrument may be coupled to the access port. Thereafter, the transition fitting is removed, and the transition cap is re-installed.
