Gas delivery system
A magnetic quick connect for a fluid delivery system includes a male coupling member and a female coupling member. The male coupling member defines a first outer fluid communication path and includes a first magnetic material. A first inner member is disposed within the first outer fluid communication path and defines a first inner communication path. The female coupling member defines a second outer fluid communication path and includes a second magnetic material. A second inner member is disposed within the second outer fluid communication path and defines a second inner communication path. The male and female coupling members are detachably held together by an attractive force between the first and second magnetic materials such that the first and second outer communication paths are held in fluid communication, and the first and second inner communication paths are held in fluid communication.
Vehicle with personal hydration system
A hydration system including a fluid reservoir, a fluid path in communication with the reservoir, and a magnetic quick connect interposed in the fluid path is disclosed. A fluid delivery system for a hydration system is also disclosed that includes a magnetic quick connect interposed in a fluid delivery path of the delivery system. The magnetic quick connect can also be used in a wide variety of fluid delivery systems. A kit for forming a fluid delivery system for a hydration system is also disclosed, as are various components of a hydration system.
BALL JOINT FOR PIPE CONNECTION AND PIPE CONNECTION
Disclosed is a ball joint for connecting two floating pipes, the joint including an inner shell part, an outer shell part and a clamp with segments that are moveable in a common plane between an open position in which at least one of the shell parts is moveable into and out of the clamp, and a clamping position in which movement of both shell parts along the longitudinal centre lines is prevented. The ball joint is provided with a remote controlled actuator for driving movement of the segments between the open and closed position, without requiring nearby personnel to keep the shell parts aligned. Also disclosed is such a clamp and to a method of connecting such a ball joint to two pipes.
Duct cleaning access door
A magnetic duct access door provides for frequent access to a variety of different kinds of duct. The access door allows for an efficient magnetic attraction to a metallic duct and easy manual removal of the access door by tilting the access door via handles on its front surface. The access door includes: an access door base; a plurality of magnets arranged around the periphery of the back surface of the access door base; a compressible sealing member located between the magnetic attachment pads on the back surface of the access door base; at least one handle portion extending from the front surface of the access door base.
FLUID CONNECTION WITH LOCK AND SEAL
A remotely-operated fluid connection assembly to hold higher internal pressures in larger diameters. The assembly comprises a fluid connection adapter and a fluid connection housing assembly. A first seal section on the housing assembly sealingly contacts a first seal bore on the adapter when the adapter enters the housing assembly. Engagement of an externally-disposed locking ring on locking element outer surfaces causes inner surfaces on the locking elements to retain the adapter to the housing assembly via a lock engagement surface. The first seal section is further disposed to expand radially such that when the first seal section expands radially, the first seal section further tightens sealing contact against the first seal bore. Adapter displacement relative to the housing assembly preferably further tightens the adapter against the locking elements as now restrained by the locking ring.
MANDREL MULTIPLYING DEVICE FOR SUBSEA OIL PRODUCTION APPARATUS
The invention relates to systems for producing oil and hydrocarbons in general, in deep water, using subsea wells and in apparatus which are interconnected in a drainage and production system. In this context, the invention relates to a mandrel multiplying device (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f) suitable for providing additional points between pieces of subsea apparatus, the device comprising a connector (2) for coupling to a mandrel of a subsea apparatus (8, 9), and at least two mandrels (3, 4, 5) suitable for providing points for connection to subsea lines (J1, J1′, J1″, J2, R1, R2, A1, A2, A3) which are connected to other pieces of subsea apparatus (8, 9) or to a production unit (13).
Boom center section with bulkhead connections
A boom center section for an agricultural machine includes a bulkhead having a first end and a second end, at least one bulkhead opening located adjacent at least one of the first and the second ends of the bulkhead, and at least one connection assembly disposed within the at least one bulkhead opening. Each bulkhead opening is formed through a first wall of the bulkhead. Each connection assembly includes a plurality of connectors.
STORZ-TYPE FLUID COUPLING AND SYTEM
A one-piece Storz-type fluid coupling and coupling system are disclosed that provide additional strength and a cleanout port that externally ejects debris away from the coupling. The one-piece Storz-type fluid coupling can include a flange portion including a circumferentially and radially extending base wall, an annular hub extending axially away from a radially inward portion of the base wall and having an annular axially-facing sealing surface, a pair of diametrically opposite lugs projecting axially away from the base wall, an outer wall extending circumferentially and axially outwardly from the base wall, coupling flanges extending circumferentially and radially inwardly from the outer wall and having lug retention lips, lug entry/exit pockets located between the lugs and the lug retention lips, lug retention channels located between the lug entry/exit pockets and the lugs, and cleanout ports located circumferentially between the lugs and lug retention pockets.
HYDRAULIC COUPLING WITH DOVETAIL SEAL HAVING MULTIPLE RADIAL SEALING SURFACES AND INNER BIASING ELEMENT
An undersea hydraulic coupling member having a ring-shaped seal with multiple sealing surfaces extending radially inwardly therefrom is disclosed. The multiple sealing surfaces help guide the probe of the male coupling member into the female member without the risk of drag or galling of the receiving chamber or metal seal retained therein. The seal has an interfit with reverse inclined shoulders in the female member to restrain the seal from moving radially inwardly due to vacuum or low pressure. The seal also includes an internal biasing element to restrain the seal from moving radially inwardly during de-mating of the coupling members.
