Coaxial tubing systems with securable spacers
Spacers are provided for maintaining annular tube spacing, particularly at tube ends, in coaxial tubing systems, while also proving fluid passages ways permitting fluid flow between tubes of the coaxial tubing system. The spacers may be made of conductive material for enabling electrical coupling of the inner and outer tubes, and thus grounding of the inner tube. The spacers define a retention groove extending around their periphery for receiving a crimped portion of the outer tube, so as to mechanically fix the spacer in a longitudinal position relative to the coaxial tubing system. Accordingly, the spacer does not rely on “springbuck” characteristics of bent coaxial tubing systems for fixation, and thus is suitable for use in both bend and unbent portions of coaxial tubing systems.
MANIFOLD
A manifold for a medical waste collection apparatus includes a fluid path connection portion and a storage connection portion. The storage connection portion includes a mounting connector in communication with the fluid path connection portion and coupled with the mounting base of the waste collection apparatus, and a docking valve arranged inside a connector cavity defined by inner walls of the connector. The docking valve is in an open state when the mounting connector is coupled with the mounting base, and a passage is formed between the storage connection portion and a waste collection container in the waste collection apparatus. The docking valve is in a closed state to close the connector cavity when the mounting connector is decoupled. The connection port between the manifold and the apparatus does not require manual opening or closing, thereby preventing waste from contaminating the environment, equipment and personnel, and enhancing convenience of use.
Inline cycle fuse
A system and method of predicting impending failure of a pressure vessel include a pressure vessel, a fluid source, a line coupled to the pressure vessel and to the fluid source, an apparatus, a sensor and a controller. The apparatus includes a conduit and a containment structure. The containment structure includes a cavity separated from an interior of the conduit by a portion of a conduit wall of the conduit. The sensor is configured to determine a value of a physical property in the cavity. The controller is in signal communication with the sensor and configured to detect a change in the value. The method includes determining a first value of a physical property in the cavity, experiencing a failure of the conduit wall, determining a second value of the physical property in the cavity, and detecting a difference between the first and second values.
Ferrule coupling for joining ducts together
An apparatus comprising an inner ferrule and an outer ferrule. The inner ferrule comprises a plurality of engagement sections that define a plurality of gaps between the plurality of engagement sections. The outer ferrule is disposed around at least a portion of the inner ferrule. The outer ferrule comprises an engagement area mechanically joined to the plurality of engagement sections to join the inner ferrule to the outer ferrule.
DUAL-WALLED FLUID TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Dual-walled fluid transportation systems and related methods. The systems comprise a dual-walled fluid conduit, comprising an outer duct comprising a pair of flared end regions and a central region extending therebetween that define an outer duct internal surface surrounding an outer duct internal volume, an inner duct defining a central conduit, extending within the outer duct internal volume, and comprising a pair of flared end regions and a central region extending therebetween that define an inner duct external surface. The inner duct and outer duct define interlocking geometries and are configured to be supported with an inner duct channel completely separating the inner duct external surface from the outer duct internal surface. The methods include additively forming an outer duct wall and additively forming an inner duct wall within an outer duct internal volume of the outer duct wall with an inner duct channel extending therebetween.
PORT CONNECTING ASSEMBLIES AND ARRANGEMENTS
A multiple port connecting assembly includes a connector body and a fluid isolation adapter. The connector body includes a first fluid passage extending from an adapter port to a first connector port, a second fluid passage extending from the adapter port to a second connector port, a first seat portion disposed between the first fluid passage and the second fluid passage, and a second seat portion disposed between the second fluid passage and an open end portion of the adapter port. The fluid isolation adapter is removably assembled with the adapter port and includes an adapter body defining a first end passage that connects with the first fluid passage, a second end passage that connects with the second fluid passage, a first seal portion sealing against the first seat portion, and a second seal portion sealing against the second seat portion.
Fluid tight connectors
A connection apparatus for enabling connection of one or more fluid lines to a flow control system is provided. The apparatus includes, for the or each fluid line, a connector defining a flow channel extending therethrough along an axis. The fluid flow line can be coupled to one end of the flow channel, and the connector further defines a shoulder providing an outer bearing surface extending circumferentially around the axis and curving along the axis. The apparatus further includes first and second plates configured to be clamped together with the connector to fix the connector therebetween. The first and second plates together define, for the or each connector, a space for supporting the shoulder with the connector in situ. The the inner surface of the space is curved to allow the connector to pivot relative to the plates on the bearing surface.
