Reinforcement strip for repairing fluid transport pipes
09784398 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A reinforcement strip (20) suitable for repairing a fluid transport pipe (10) during which the strip is wound, under traction, around the portion of the pipe where the repair needs to be made at the same time that a crosslinking resin is applied to the strip in such a way as to form a sleeve around the portion to be repaired. The reinforcement strip includes at least one integrated metal wire, the electrical properties of the wire being used for operations including crosslinking the resin, detecting the portion of the pipe that includes the sleeve or detecting repaired portions of the pipe that have increased in diameter due to a thinning of the wall of the pipe.

Disclosed is a blow-by device comprising a connection piece and a coupling piece that can be connected to each other. A ring is provided on which a connector collar for a connector is provided in order to establish an electrical connection in connection pieces that are connected to the coupling piece. The ring may be positioned on the connection piece.

Warp knit wrappable sleeve with extendable electro-functional yarns and method of construction thereof

A wrappabie knit textile sleeve and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a wall of knit yarn having opposite edges extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis of the sleeve between opposite ends with a straightened length of the wall spanning between the opposite ends. The knit yarn includes warp yarns extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis and weft yarns extending generally transversely to the longitudinal axis. The opposite edges are wrappable into overlapping one another to form a tubular cavity. At least one of the weft yarns is an electro-functional yarn having a straightened length that is greater than the straightened length of the wall, thereby allowing opposite ends of the at least one electro-functional member to be pulled axially outwardly from the opposite ends of the wall to form leads for attachment to a power source.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH AT LEAST ONE CONNECTOR AND AT LEAST ONE MEDIA LINE

Connector assembly, and/or motor-vehicle connector assembly, with at least one connector and at least one media line connected to the connector. The media line is electrically heated, a heat-conducting element being arranged in the transition region between connector and media line. The heat-conducting element extends with a first heat-conducting section into the media line and with a second heat-conducting section into the connector. By means of the electric heating of the media line, the heat-conducting element is heated, and/or indirectly heated, and in particular is heated and/or indirectly heated as far as the region of the connector.

HEAT-INSULATED PIPE ARRANGEMENT
20170241585 · 2017-08-24 ·

A heat-insulated pipe assembly includes a pipe allowing a fluid to flow therethrough, and a heat insulating member covers at least a part of the pipe. The pipe is used in an exhaust gas purification system using an SCR catalyst. The heat insulating member has a closed-cell structure and suppresses an increase in a temperature of the fluid due to heat exchange with air. In the exhaust gas purification system using the SCR catalyst, the interior of the pipes is thermally insulated from the exterior by the heat insulating member. Thereby an increase in the temperature of the fluid flowing through the pipe due to heat exchange with air is suppressed.

Pipe heating systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a flexible pipe, which is formed into a pipe coil, and a pipe heating apparatus. The pipe heating apparatus includes a bore device to be moved to a target position within the pipe bore of the flexible pipe to facilitate isolating a segment of the flexible pipe from a remainder of the flexible pipe, one or more heating conduits connected to the bore device such that the one or more heating conduits are disposed in an upstream region of the pipe bore behind the bore device, and one or more heat sources to be connected to the bore device via the one or more heating conduits to enable the one or more heating conduits to heat the segment of the flexible pipe to facilitate unwinding the segment of the flexible pipe from the pipe coil.

Method of extending life expectancy of high-temperature piping and life expectancy extension structure of high-temperature piping

A method of extending a life expectancy of a high-temperature piping, includes removing a heat insulation material which covers the piping having a high creep rupture risk, and lowering an outer surface temperature of piping, wherein a width of an exposed portion obtained is twice or more a distance from a peeled-off end portion of the exposed portion to a portion where a compressive stress is asymptotical to 0 after a change in stress between a tensile stress and the compressive stress occurring in the piping due to the removal of the heat insulation material is made from the tensile stress to the compressive stress, and the distance is calculated based on the following formulae, βx=5, β = 3 ( 1 - v 2 ) a 2 h 2 4
here, ν is a Poisson's ratio, a is an average radius of the piping, and h is a plate thickness of the piping.
