The assembly has a corrugated pipe section fitted at a rear end to a connector and a sleeve overlaying a region where the pipe section fits over the connector. The sleeve is arranged to press inwards against the pipe section to press it against portions of the connector.

Cable

A cable includes a bush that accommodates a coil formed by helically winding a heat-transfer wire to have a heat dissipation function. The bush may include a resin material including a heat-transfer powder mixed therein. The heat-transfer wire may be configured to be connected to a heat source attached to the cable to receive heat from the heat source. The bush may include a smooth surface.

Medical treatment system and methods using a plurality of fluid lines

A medical treatment system, such as peritoneal dialysis system, may include control and other features to enhance patient comfort and ease of use. For example, a peritoneal dialysis system may include a control system that can adjust the volume of fluid infused into the peritoneal cavity to prevent the intraperitoneal fluid volume from exceeding a pre-determined amount. The control system can adjust by adding one or more therapy cycles, allowing for fill volumes during each cycle to be reduced. The control system may continue to allow the fluid to drain from the peritoneal cavity as completely as possible before starting the next therapy cycle. The control system may also adjust the dwell time of fluid within the peritoneal cavity during therapy cycles in order to complete a therapy within a scheduled time period. The cycler may also be configured to have a heater control system that monitors both the temperature of a heating tray and the temperature of a bag of dialysis fluid in order to bring the temperature of the dialysis fluid rapidly to a specified temperature, with minimal temperature overshoot.

An elongate tubular structure is disclosed. The elongate tubular structure has a first and second tubular structure wherein a first end of the first tubular structure is matingly and fasteningly engaged to a first end of the second tubular structure. The first and second tubular structures each have a first sheet metal having a machine direction being convolutely wound about a first longitudinal axis. The first sheet metal has a tail portion that is disposed upon and bonded to an immediately subjacent convolution of the first sheet metal to form the respective first and second tubular structures.

MICROSCALE COLLECTOR-INJECTOR TECHNOLOGIES FOR PASSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL VAPOR SAMPLING AND FOCUSED INJECTION

A microscale collector and injector device comprises a microscale passive pre-concentrator (PP) and a microscale progressively-heated injector (PHI). The PP devices comprises first and second substrate portions, a first collection material, a PP heater, and an outlet. The first substrate portion defines an array of microscale diffusion channels. The first and second substrate portions cooperate to define a first compartment in fluid communication with the diffusion channels. The first collection material is disposed within the first compartment, at least partially surrounding the outlet. The PP heater is disposed in thermal communication with the second substrate portion. The PHI device comprises third and fourth substrate portions, a second collection material, and a plurality of PHI heaters. The third and fourth substrate portions cooperate to define a second compartment. The second collection material is disposed within the second compartment. The PHI heaters are disposed in thermal communication with the second compartment.

Assembly comprising an end-fitting and an unbonded flexible pipe

The present invention relates to an assembly including an end-fitting and an unbonded flexible pipe, which end-fitting is adapted for connecting the unbonded flexible pipe to a connector. The end-fitting has a through-going opening with a centerline and a front end and a rear end, and the end-fitting further provides for establishing an electrical connection to a least one electrical heating system in the unbonded flexible pipe. Moreover, the end-fitting includes at least one first metallic part having a first surface contacting a second surface of at least one second part in the end-fitting, wherein the first surface of the first metallic part, at least in the vicinity of the through-going opening, includes a coating having a high electrically resistivity. The invention also relates to a method for providing an end-fitting having good properties in respect of reducing galvanic corrosion.

Device for thawing frozen pipes

Disclosed herein is a device for injecting pressurized alcohol solution into a pipe located in a house or other structure that carries water. The device allows the user to control and adjust the pressure of the injected alcohol solution. The pressure forces the alcohol solution against the frozen water inside the pipe. The alcohol solution then acts to dissolve the ice, thereby clearing the blockage and preventing damage to the pipe. The device is hand held, portable and configurable. The embodiment of the device with the hand-operated pump does not require electricity or other sources of power. Alternate embodiments of the device can be broken down into two or more sections for easier storage. Alternate embodiments of the device has one or more of the lengths of connecting pipe or connector or adapter bends at an angle so that the device is not configured in a straight line but has a bend or curve. These alternate embodiments allows for the device to fit into tight or restricted spaces. Alternate embodiments of the device utilize fittings, connectors, valves, gauges, vents and lengths of pipe of different sizes, lengths, diameters and materials. Different solutions or solvents other than an alcohol solution may be used. Also disclosed is the method of using the device.
