Sliding cable safety device for conduits or similar equipments subject to pressure and corresponding installation including such safety device
A safety device with a sliding cable and a corresponding installation, to secure conduits, pipes, piping and similar equipments subject to high pressure due to fluid under pressure circulating in such conduits and equipments. The safety device includes a flexible cable which forms a first and a second attachment eyelet for attaching and connecting the safety device to two parts of the conduits and equipments under pressure. A first and a second sleeve which close two end portions of the flexible cable form, at the ends of the safety device, the first and second attachment eyelets. Two terminals are provided at the opposite ends of the flexible cable.
Multilayer containment and protection tube for conduits, cables and the like
A multilayer containment and protection tube for conduits, cables and the like, includes an inner layer made of polymeric material, which is electrically at least antistatic, with a smooth internal surface, which forms a duct for supporting conduits or cables. The tube further includes one or more intermediate layers of electrically at least antistatic reinforcement, an outer layer made of electrically at least antistatic polymeric material, and a covering and finishing layer, which is electrically at least antistatic.
Tank overhead line liquid backflow restriction device
A device for restricting liquid backflow through an overhead line on a tank and a method of using the device are provided. The device has a tubular housing with spaced internal baffle plates. The device is secured in place in the interior of an overhead pipe on the top of a tank on a tank truck or other vehicle used for transporting bulk liquid cargo. The device prevents liquid backflow from entering overhead piping due to sloshing action of the liquid during transport. The device allows air to flow through the device so that air may be supplied to the tank, as well as vented from the tank, through the device.
Methods for joining extended lengths of conduit
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for joining extended lengths of conduit. The apparatus and method provide a means for decreasing the time required to assemble extended lengths of conduit. The apparatus for use with the corresponding method comprises an apparatus head, an extender joining body and a conduit interface.
Reusable Buoyancy Modules for Buoyancy Control of Underwater Vehicles
A buoyancy module for use with a water environment robotic system of the type having an underwater robotic vehicle having a winch has a buoyancy configuration which can be selectively altered. The system includes a module that is configured to be repeatedly, selectively buoyantly engaged and buoyantly disengaged with the underwater robotic vehicle. A tether is connected to the module and is extendable and retractable in response to operation of the winch. Extending and retracting the module can buoyantly engage or buoyantly disengage the buoyancy module with the underwater robotic vehicle according to the operation of a state controller. By engaging and disengaging the buoyancy module, the buoyancy of the underwater robot can be selectively altered. A method is also disclosed.
ADAPTER WITH TWO MALE THREADS
An adapter with two male threads includes an integrally-connected body and a hanger. The two ends of the body are penetrated by a through hole and each have an external thread segment. The body has two spaced-apart flanges between the two external thread segments. A groove is formed between the two flanges. One end of the hanger has a first connecting portion connectedly disposed in the groove. The other end of the hanger has a second connecting portion connected to an external object. Therefore, two water pipes each having a female thread connection end can be connected by the two external thread segments of the body to ensure ease of use and cut manufacturing costs.

Reactor pressure vessel including pipe restraint device, and/or a pipe restraint device
A reactor pressure vessel includes a reactor pressure vessel body, a nozzle structure connected to the reactor pressure vessel body, a conduit structure connected to the nozzle structure, and a restraint device attached around a portion of the conduit structure. The restraint device includes collar parts that have cross sections corresponding to respective segments of a periphery of the portion of the conduit structure, brackets attached to the nozzle structure, and rods connecting the brackets to the collar parts. The collar parts are connected end-to-end to each other such that a cross section of the collar parts connected to each other corresponds to the periphery of the portion of the conduit structure. The collar parts are pinned to each other. The brackets spaced apart from each other around a periphery of the nozzle structure.
