METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM OF A HOSE RESTRAINT DEVICE INSTALLABLE ON A HOSE CARRYING A PRESSURIZED FLUID AND A FITTING THEREOF DURING OPERATION OF THE HOSE
Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of a hose restraint device installable on a hose carrying a pressurized fluid and a fitting thereof during operation of the hose. In accordance therewith, the hose restraint device includes a cable and link components that receive portions of the cable bent around the hose and the fitting. The link components each includes a slot through which the cable passes and a notched slot in which a bent portion of the cable is received. Based on loop-based connections of the hose restraint device to the hose and the fitting, the anchoring of the bent portions of the cable to the link components is supplemented by a restoring force of a spring surrounding the cable and expanding between the link components of the hose restraint device to then be solely delimited thereby.
Water Grounding Apparatus for a Plastic Pipe Plumbing System
Water grounding apparatus for a water plumbing system constructed of plastic pipes comprises a metal or other electrically conductive fixture installed axially inline with the plastic pipes. The fixture includes one or more external lugs for ground wire connection, and an integral sleeve of reduced diameter that extends into the plastic piping to establish an extended surface area contact between the fixture and the water in the pipes. Alternatively, the integral sleeve can be constructed as a coil of conductive material to accommodate nearby elbows in the plastic piping. Advantageously, the fixture can be constructed as a modified inline water shut-off valve since shut-off valves are customarily installed in piping near the exterior wall of the building, and near water-related appliances such as water heaters.

GRIPPING BODY
A method and apparatus for locating respective end regions of wires of an armour layer of a segment of flexible pipe body at a respective desired positions in an end fitting, and apparatus for terminating a segment of flexible pipe body in an end fitting are disclosed. The method comprises providing an annular element radially around an exposed region of an armour layer, of flexible pipe body, that comprises a plurality of wires; locating the annular element against a terminal end of a first collar member disposed radially around the armour layer; bending the wires away from a longitudinal axis of the flexible pipe body against a guiding surface of the annular element, at a predetermined location; urging the annular element away from the first collar member in a first direction; and gripping the wires between an abutment region of the guiding surface and a cooperating abutment surface of a further collar member thereby locating respective end regions of the wires at respective desired positions in an end fitting.

Method and apparatus for sealing and structurally renewing a wall of a manhole
An apparatus and method is provided for structurally renewing and sealing a wall of a manhole. The apparatus includes a tubular sleeve impregnated with a hydrophilic or hydrophobic material capable of expanding when in contact with water, and a liner impregnated with a resinous material capable of curing and hardening. The apparatus is positioned in a manhole and inflated, which forces the tubular sleeve and the liner into contact with the wall of the manhole. The hydrophilic or hydrophobic material is forced into defects of the wall, thus sealing the wall, while the liner is allowed to cure and harden, thus structurally renewing the wall of the manhole.
Polymer-lined pipes and fittings with replaceable components
A pipe or fitting having a polymer liner and a replaceable component including an outer ring having an outside diameter matching the inside diameter of the pipe or fitting, a polymer liner bonded to the outer ring and having an inside diameter matching the inside diameter of the liner of the pipe or fitting. The replaceable component is disposed in an inlet or outlet of the pipe or fitting so as to form a continuous bore lined with a polymer.
LOCKING PIPE JOINT DEVICE WITH INDICATOR
A locking pipe joint assembly, device and method can employ a center body connector, one or more sealing elements, a shoe gland, an indicator ring and a retaining cap. In embodiments, a bolt element and a nut element are provided for securing the retaining cap to the center body connector and compressing a packing assembly therein.
Fluid conduit
A fluid conduit (2) comprises a wall (4) defining a fluid flow path (6) and a confinement feature (24) within the wall (4) and being configured to confine energy within a cavity (26), wherein at least a portion of the fluid flow path (6) extends through the cavity (26). The confinement feature (24) may be configured to confine electromagnetic energy. The fluid conduit (2) may comprise an oscillator defined by the cavity (26) and a positive feedback arrangement (34). The fluid conduit (2) may be configured for sensing a property of a fluid present in or flowing through the fluid conduit (2) or for use in sensing a property of a fluid present in or flowing through the fluid conduit (2). More specifically, the present invention deals with a microwave cavity sensor wherein the cavity member (24) is embedded in the wall (4) of the fluid conduit (2), the wall (4) including a composite region (20).
Apparatus for inspection of external corrosion of pipes
An apparatus for measuring external corrosion in pipes is disclosed.
