Reinforcing element for a structural profile, structural arrangement, aircraft or spacecraft and method for producing a structural arrangement
A reinforcing element for a structural profile, in particular for a round, oval or elliptical structural tube. The reinforcing element comprises: a fiber structure which has a hollow-cylindrical, helically wound mesh of fiber strands and forms an inner shell surface formed to receive the structural profile; and a matrix material into which the fiber strands are respectively embedded and which is formed to be shrinkable by heating so that the fiber structure can be fastened to the structural profile with the inner shell surface by heating the matrix material. Also provided are a structural arrangement with such a reinforcing element, an aircraft or spacecraft with such a structural arrangement, as well as a method for producing such a structural arrangement.
THROUGH-AIR APPARATUS TO REDUCE INFILTRATION OF AMBIENT AIR
A through-air apparatus for drying or bonding paper, tissue, or nonwoven webs is provided. The apparatus includes a web-carrying structure configured to move and a first component having at least one sealing element adjacent the web-carrying structure, where the sealing element is configured to reduce the infiltration of ambient air into the through-air apparatus. The apparatus also includes at least one channel configured to direct air to the sealing element to reduce the infiltration of ambient air into the through-air apparatus. A method of operating a through-air apparatus for drying or bonding paper, tissue, or nonwoven webs is also provided. The method includes directing air to a sealing element to reduce the infiltration of ambient air into the through-air apparatus.

THREADED TUBULAR END PROTECTOR
A thread protector that has an external sleeve to protect threads disposed on a tubular member. The thread protector includes a flange disposed on a first end of the external sleeve to be engageable with an end of the tubular member. The thread protector also includes a securing apparatus extending from the flange to frictionally engage an inner side of the tubular member to maintain the thread protector's engagement with the tubular member, the securing apparatus including a magnet that increases the force of the frictional engagement of the securing apparatus with the inner side of the tubular member. The securing apparatus can also extend from the flange to frictionally engage an inner side of the tubular member to maintain the thread protector's engagement with the tubular member, the securing apparatus rotatable relative to the external sleeve. A method of protecting pin threads of pin ends of tubular members by installing a thread protector on an end of a tubular member.
EXHAUST PIPE
An exhaust pipe forming a flow path of exhaust gas of a vehicle includes a first end including a first opening, a first flange portion formed on the first end, and a cover member. The first flange portion is configured to be fastened to a second flange portion formed on a second end of another exhaust pipe. The cover member includes a held portion and an inner circumferential portion. The held portion is held between the first end and the second end when the first flange portion and the second flange portion are fastened together. The inner circumferential portion covers a region adjacent to the first opening in the inner circumferential surface of the exhaust pipe.
THREADED TUBULAR END PROTECTOR
A thread protector that includes an end cap for engaging with a pin end or box end of a tubular member and a securing apparatus extending from the end cap to frictionally engage an inner side of the tubular member to maintain the thread protector's engagement with the tubular member. The securing apparatus includes a plurality of leg assemblies to engage the inside of the tubular member. The thread protector also includes a bolt extending through an opening in the end cap that actuates the leg assemblies when the bolt is turned. Another thread protector that includes a cup end for engaging with a pin end or box end of a tubular member and the cup end has an end plate. The thread protector also includes a protective sleeve extending from the end plate of the cup end outside of the tubular member wherein the protective sleeve has inner threads disposed on an inside part. The thread protector further includes a releasable sleeve selectively securable around the tubular member with outer threads disposed on an outside portion whereby the outer threads on the releasable sleeve can engage the inner threads on the protective sleeve. A method of protecting pin threads of pin ends of tubular members. The method includes installing a thread protector on a pin end or a box end of a tubular member to protect threads disposed on the pin end or the box end of the tubular member.
WIRING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CHANGED WIRING SYSTEM
