The invention relates to a lightweight, mass-producible, antibacterial insulation material with high heat, corrosion and impact resistance that can be used in construction, machinery & equipment, furniture, defense, apparel-accessory industry, art, as well as in land-sea-air vehicles.
THERMALLY INSULATING AND FIRE RETARDANT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
A fire retardant material includes a deconstructed nanoporous material including a plurality of elements, and solids of a fire-retarding solution within the elements of the nanoporous material. A method of forming the fire retardant material includes combining a nanoporous material and a fire-retarding solution such that elements of the nanoporous material absorb the fire retarding solution, and evaporating liquid from the elements of the nanoporous material having the fire-retarding solution absorbed therein such that a concentrate or solids thereof remain within the elements of the nanoporous material.
THERMAL INSULATION BLANKET AND THERMAL INSULATION BLANKET ASSEMBLY
A thermal insulation blanket assembly having a thermal insulation blanket including an aerogel insulation material having a first surface and a second surface that is oppositely-disposed from the first surface, a backing covering the second surface of the aerogel insulation material, and a skin layer covering the first surface of the aerogel insulation material.
Fire insulation material
A fire insulation precursor material formed of cement, in an amount of between 10-30% w/w; and an aluminium or magnesium hydroxide, huntite or hydromagnesite in an amount of between 60-90% w/w/. A fire insulation material is provided including the previously mentioned precursor material. Further described are methods of forming a fire insulation material and applications for such material in sheaths, duct coatings, cable trays and other elongate components.

HEAT INSULATING MEMBER AND BATTERY COVER
A heat insulating member includes a wall member. The wall member includes a high-density portion provided at one end edge in a direction orthogonal to a thickness direction of the wall member and having density of above 0.45 g/cm.sup.3 and a low-density portion provided midway in the direction orthogonal to the thickness direction, having heat-insulating properties, and having density of 0.45 g/cm.sup.3 or less. The high-density portion is provided over the entire one end edge and the thickness of the high-density portion is thinner than that of the low-density portion.
Lightweight thermal shield
A method of making a lightweight thermal shield that includes obtaining a mold having a shaped support screen with a molding surface configured to allow the passage of air and moisture therethrough, and with the mold being adapted for drawing a vacuum from behind the support screen. The method also includes applying a wet insulation material onto the molding surface of the support screen and drawing a vacuum to withdraw moisture through the support screen and consolidate a layer of insulation material on top the molding surface. The method further includes removing the consolidated layer of insulation material from off the molding surface, installing the consolidated layer of insulation material into an outer shell layer, and drying the consolidated layer of insulation material within the outer shell layer to form a lightweight core insulation layer.
High performance, reinforced insulated precast concrete and tilt-up concrete structures and methods of making same
The invention comprises a product. The product comprises a foam insulating panel, the panel having a first primary surface and an opposite second primary surface, wherein the foam insulating panel defines at least one recessed channel in the first primary surface, the at least one recessed channel being sized and shaped to provide a mold for a structural reinforcing member. The product also comprises a concrete panel formed on the first primary surface and filling the at least one recessed channel so as to provide a structural reinforcing member for the concrete panel. The product further comprises an elongate anchor member in the foam insulating panel and extending from the first primary surface of the foam insulating panel into the concrete panel. A method of making a composite reinforced insulated concrete structure is also disclosed.
