System and method for valve greasing in a well tree
A technique facilitates greasing of valves on a well tree, e.g. a frac tree, according to a simple process which enables selected, individual valves to be greased when desired. In some applications, the greasing process may be automated and controlled via a greasing control system. According to an embodiment, a greasing system is connected with grease ports at a plurality of actuatable valves located in a well tree. The greasing system has a plurality of grease valves which may be associated with each of the actuatable valves, e.g. with each of the grease ports. A pump is used to pump grease to the grease valves and the grease valves are selectively actuated to open positions to provide controlled greasing of desired actuatable valves so as to remove debris from and to lubricate selected actuatable valves.
Apparatus and method for moving viscous fluid by pressure
An apparatus and a method are shown for removing or moving a viscous fluid such as grease from a first unit such as a bearing e.g. a ball bearing to a second unit via a hose or pipe. The apparatus includes a hose or pipe (7) through which the viscous fluid is pumped during operation from an outlet (11) of the first unit (1) to an inlet (10) of the second unit (2), wherein the apparatus further includes a pump connected to the hose or pipe (7) in such a way that the viscous fluid during operation is moved through the hose or pipe (7), and the hose or pipe (7) includes an inlet (8) for gas such as air, and the flow of gas through the inlet (8) is controlled by a valve (9).

A hydraulic fracturing plan executable by a hydraulic fracturing system to hydraulically fracture a plurality of oil and gas wells. In one or more embodiments, the execution of the hydraulic fracturing plan implements the following steps: communicating fluid to a first well via a manifold and a first valve, the first valve being associated with both the manifold and the first well; and, in response to determining that the fluid communicated via the manifold has satisfied one or more conditions: opening a second valve; communicating fluid to a second well via the second valve; and closing the first valve after opening the second valve.
Hydraulic fracturing plan and execution of same
A hydraulic fracturing plan executable by a hydraulic fracturing system to hydraulically fracture a plurality of oil and gas wells. In one or more embodiments, the execution of the hydraulic fracturing plan implements the following steps: communicating fluid to a first well via a manifold and a first valve, the first valve being associated with both the manifold and the first well; and, in response to determining that the fluid communicated via the manifold has satisfied one or more conditions: opening a second valve; communicating fluid to a second well via the second valve; and closing the first valve after opening the second valve.

Methods and apparatus according to which a first valve is opened, or kept open, the first valve being part of a wellhead including a flow component above the first valve. The method may further include detecting a state of the first valve and, in response to detecting the state of the first valve, metering an amount of grease to the first valve. In addition, or instead, the method may further include opening, or keeping open, a second valve, the second valve being operably coupled to the wellhead and positioned above the flow component, and, after opening, or keeping open, each of the first and second valves, detecting whether the second valve is open or closed, in response to detecting that the second valve is open, preventing the first valve from being closed, and in response to detecting that the second valve is closed, allowing the first valve to be closed.
Intelligently controlled fluid systems
Methods and apparatus according to which a first valve is opened, or kept open, the first valve being part of a wellhead including a flow component above the first valve. Lubricant injector
A lubricant injector includes an injector body having an inlet port fluidly coupleable with a lubricant supply, an outlet port fluidly coupleable with a lubrication point, a piston chamber and a valve chamber. A piston is disposed within the piston chamber and defines a measuring section and an actuating section, the piston being linearly displaceable along an axis through the piston chamber so as to inversely vary the volume of the chamber measuring section and the volume of the chamber actuating section. A valve member disposed within the valve chamber is displaceable along an axis through the valve chamber between a first position, at which the inlet port is fluidly coupled with the piston chamber actuating and measuring sections, and a second position at which the inlet port is fluidly coupled with the piston chamber actuating section and the outlet port is fluidly coupled with the piston chamber measuring section.
