The present invention relates to a grease replacement method of replacing grease in a case (84) including a sealable gear chamber (31, 36) accommodating a gear (85) as a member to be lubricated, a grease injection port (61, 62) configured to inject grease into the gear chamber (31, 36), and a discharge port (32, 37) configured to discharge the grease in the gear chamber (31, 36), and a grease suction device to be used to perform this method. The grease replacement method includes a suction step (S2) of sucking the grease in the gear chamber (31, 36) from the grease injection port (61, 62) with the discharge port (32, 37) being open, and discharging the grease outside the case (84), and an injection step (S4) of injecting new grease into the grease injection port (61, 62) and supplying the new grease to the gear (85). This facilitates discharging of old grease.

Grease pressure relief system

A check valve bleed assembly eliminates the requirement for a person to enter the red zone when bleeding the grease out of a gate or other valve. A gas or other fluid is provided to the check valve bleed assembly. The gas or other fluid acts upon the surface driving a pin into the associated check valve with sufficient force to overcome the resistance of the object sitting on a seat and moves the object off of the seat. The force is maintained as long as is necessary. Usually, the check valve is held open until the gate transitions into the gate's associated gate recess thereby displacing the grease within the gate recess through the check valve, into the check valve bleed assembly, and finally to a waste collection tube. In some embodiments a gate valve greasing access port is included in the check valve bleed assembly such that grease may be injected into the check valve bleed assembly.

Oil flow switch and lubrication system with the same for a refrigeration system

The present disclosure relates to an oil flow switch, comprising a float device connected to a circulating oil passage and a floating liquid level switch element provided in the float device, wherein the float device comprises an oil inlet, an oil outlet, and a float chamber provided between the oil inlet and the oil outlet, the floating liquid level switch element is provided in the float chamber, and the float device is provided with a channel in communication with the float chamber. The oil flow switch according to the present disclosure may avoid a false alarm of the oil level switch and meanwhile mitigate disturbance to the float caused by liquid level fluctuation to reduce friction between the float and the sleeve rod. Further, a lubrication system with the above oil.

The present disclosure relates to an oil flow switch, comprising a float device connected to a circulating oil passage and a floating liquid level switch element provided in the float device, wherein the float device comprises an oil inlet, an oil outlet, and a float chamber provided between the oil inlet and the oil outlet, the floating liquid level switch element is provided in the float chamber, and the float device is provided with a channel in communication with the float chamber. First and second openings are respectively provided in the upper and lower portions. An oil volume sensor is received in the filler tube through the first opening. A valve is connected to the filler tube and movable between an open position in which the valve provides a fluid connection into the lower portion via the second opening, and a closed position in which the valve blocks the fluid connection into the lower portion via the second opening. A third opening, smaller than both the first and second openings, defined one of: a) through a sidewall of the lower portion of the filler tube to provide a fluid connection between the volume and the lower portion when the lubricant filler assembly is attached to the lubricant tank, and b) through the valve to provide the fluid connection when the lubricant filler assembly is attached to the lubricant tank.

Blowdown valves and associated methods for separating oil and air in a lubrication system of an aircraft engine are provided. A method includes receiving a mixture of air and oil at a blowdown valve including a valve member movable between a valve-closed position and a valve-open position. With the valve member in the valve-open position, the method includes impinging the mixture against the valve member. A first portion of the mixture having a first fraction of oil is released from the blowdown valve upstream of the valve member. A second portion of the mixture having a second fraction of oil greater than the first fraction of oil is guided around and past the valve member. The second portion of the mixture is released from the blowdown valve downstream of the valve member.
